September means something a little different at Sippin Nutrition. 💜🩵

A lot of people recognize Sippin by our purple and teal, but most probably don’t know why those became our colors in the first place.

When we opened Sippin Nutrition, there was one reason we chose purple and teal.
Daniel.

In 2004, our family lost my brother Daniel to su***de. Purple and teal are colors associated with su***de prevention awareness, and when it came time to choose the colors for Sippin, there really wasn’t another choice for us.

What most people see as our brand colors have always represented something much deeper to our family. They’re a way of carrying Daniel with us and keeping his memory alive in something we get to see every single day. 💜🩵

That meaning has shown up in Sippin in other ways too. A while back, we created our YOU MATTER Menu in honor of Daniel because those two words are something we never want people to get tired of hearing:

YOU MATTER.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, so this month we wanted to make that message even more visible.

Throughout September, you’re going to see different labels on Sippin cups with messages like:

PLEASE STAY.
YOU MATTER.
Your worst day doesn’t get the final say.
Your story isn’t finished.
Keep choosing tomorrow.

You’ll also see NGINGU — Never Give In. Never Give Up.

NGINGU became something that stuck with our family after losing Daniel. We chose to use it to honor him, keep his memory alive and carry a message that we hope somebody else may need on a difficult day.

At the bottom of many of these labels you’ll also see:
For Daniel 🤟

The American Sign Language sign for “I love you” became something special to our family after Daniel’s death, so it only felt right to include it too.

But there is one label this month that’s a little different.

It says:
IN HONOR OF:
We intentionally left a large blank space for a name.

Daniel is the reason behind what we’re doing, but we know our family isn’t the only family carrying the memory of someone they’ve lost.

If there’s someone you want to honor, we want there to be a place for their name too.

Write their name on the line. Carry them with you. Share their name if you want to.

Because their life mattered too. 💜🩵

We’re not doing any of this to make September sad.

We’re doing it because you never know who might need to read “You Matter” at exactly the right moment.

Maybe it’s the person holding the cup.

Maybe they take a picture and send it to someone they love.

Maybe somebody scrolling Facebook or Instagram sees that sticker and decides they can make it through one more day.

If one little label reminds even one person that their life has value, then it has done exactly what we hoped it would do.

September 10 is World Su***de Prevention Day, but these are words worth saying every single day:

You matter.
You are loved.
You are needed.
Your story is not finished.
Never Give In. Never Give Up. 💜🩵

The quickest way to blow your budget AND get off track? Waiting until you’re starving to decide what you’re going to eat. 😅

That’s when the drive-thru starts sounding good, delivery fees start adding up, and the goals you were serious about this morning suddenly get a whole lot harder to stick to.

Meal prepping helps take that decision out of the equation. 🙌

You buy what you need, portion it out, waste less food, spend less money eating out, and you already have something ready when hunger hits.

And when your meals are already prepared, staying consistent with your goals gets a whole lot easier.
Saving money + staying on track = a pretty solid reason to prep ahead. ✅

Man, Phenix City and the whole Tri-City area — it’s time to SHOW OUT! ⚾🏆

Come out Monday from 6–8 PM at Idle Hour Park and help us give these young athletes, their coaches, their families, and everybody behind the scenes the kind of welcome home they deserve.

They represented their city, their county, their families, and this entire area on one of the biggest stages in youth baseball — and that is a BIG deal.

So wear your colors, bring the energy, bring the family, and come show these kids some HUGE LOVE. Let them see just how proud Phenix City, Columbus, and the surrounding communities are of everything they accomplished.
