Although the door has closed for the last time here at Vital Provisions, we are excited to welcome Monadnock Mobile Meals LLC in as the new tenants of 15 Main Street.

This already existing and thriving business will be taking over our former space, and we wish them all the best!

We have shared our recipes with them, but we want to help clarify any confusion about the transition. Directly from Monadnock Mobile Meals:

“To clarify - we are NOT reopening Vital Provisions. We did NOT purchase their business. We are NOT gluten free and we are NOT vegan. I just want to be very clear about this. We will make this clear on our menu and in the retail space as well. The name of our business is MONADNOCK MOBILE MEALS. We are an already existing business that operates out of Beepa and Lulu's Restaurant and we will be moving into the space that was occupied by Vital Provisions but please understand, we are NOT Vital Provisions. PLEASE message me with any questions.“

We set out with the best of intentions when opening Vital Provisions: food matters to us, people matter to us, wellness matters to us. At the heart of this whole project is love, and that love has never left us.

As flight attendants say, you need to put on your own oxygen mask before assisting others. This past week has shed light on some major cracks in our foundation, and has made us realize just how little we have been doing to take care of ourselves and live our life with presence and intention. We have been stuck in a constant state of crisis mode, dealing with all the needs and complications surrounding the restaurant at every moment of every day. We realized we were beyond burned out and always stressed out - and life is way too short for that! So we have decided to make a difficult but necessary change: ✨ effective immediately, Vital Provisions will be permanently closed ✨

This by no means feels like a failure. We know what we put out into the world was, on the most important level, a great success. The awards, the reviews and your feedback show without a shadow of a doubt that we were really on to something. We did everything within our power to make this work, and we feel no shame in recognizing the ways in which it wasn’t.

We love you all so much and are endlessly grateful for the support you have shared with us. You helped us create something really special, and we consider ourselves so lucky to have had the chance to give it our best shot. We did our best to leave a positive mark on our community, and we close this chapter of our life with deep gratitude for the friends made and lessons learned along the way.

Stay tuned for an announcement about an indoor yard sale in February where all sorts of goodies will be available!

May 2024 bring you all peace, prosperity and delicious food ✌️🙌🍔

Our house made corned beef is tucked in between two slices of our white bread with braised cabbage, caramelized onions, roasted carrot & rutabaga puree, with a whole grain mustard spread.

This sandwich is insanely delicious, and it’s called “special” for good reason! 🤤
