Hello,
After many months of thought and cosideration, our last day of at the Red Door will be Saturday August 4th 2018. 19 years in the making and remaking. Many of you know this joke.
I will be open on Friday August 3rd, but only in the morning. As Kathy and I get older, we think we can still be who we were when we were 30 or 50. Many of my customers know this. The reality is that we need to combine our energies into our other businesses. My connection to humanity has been a wonderful thing. I have watched Candy Kids grow up, turn into coffee kids, get married, have children, I have seen and been a part of so much in my connection with the coffee house. I will miss this the most.
It is because of this connection that I could not sell to anyone that would not be a part of this community, as I have had several offers none could make the leap of faith as I did to be part of this wonderful downtown community. Not everything is about profit. Another joke my regulars will understand.
Please come and join our community, even if you were not part of my coffee house, maybe you will see a little bit about small business, the meaning of friendship, knowing the person who greats you in a store that is providing for their family.
