Local Phoenix Pizzeria Owner Tim Martin places 22nd out of 200 at the 2022 International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas

From March 22nd through the 24th more than 10,000 pizzeria owners, chefs, pizzaioli, and industry vendors descended on the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 2022 International Pizza Expo. One of the highlights of the Expo is the contest for Pizza Maker of the Year. This year there were 200+ contestants. Local Pizzeria Owner Tim Martin finished 22nd putting him in the top 10%

“Many of our customers state that our pizza is the best pizza they have ever had. I wanted to see exactly where we stacked up. To finish in the Top 25 was incredibly humbling,” said Martin. Having never competed in any type of pizza competition Martin was stunned with the level of competition and the passion of the people that participated.

The aptly named “Peppers and Bacon” pizza Martin presented to the 4 judges featured two types of bacon, roasted jalapenos, and marinated red bell peppers. It will be available in limited quantities during the month of April. It is expected to sell out quickly every day.
