I’m coming home from vacation late next week… but I’m definitely not coming home empty-handed. 🇮🇹

My time in Sicily has inspired me in ways I can’t wait to share with you. I experienced the food, flavors and traditions firsthand, spent precious time with my family, and connected even more deeply with my family’s Sicilian culture, heritage and roots.

Now I’m bringing that inspiration home to Onice Sicilian American Bakery.

Over the next few weeks, get ready for BIG announcements, new plans, new products and new releases—including authentic Sicilian creations and my recreations of traditional foods and flavors I experienced throughout Sicily.

This is about more than new products. It’s about honoring where my family came from and bringing a piece of Sicily home through Onice.

I’m not revealing everything just yet… 👀

But I will tell you this:

Onice is about to enter a whole new chapter.

I went to Sicily looking for inspiration, a deeper connection to my family’s culture, and a better understanding of the traditions behind the food I love to make.

I’m coming home with all three.

We’ll be teaming up with Pet Pack Rescue Initiative at the Food Truck Festival in Washington, Illinois!

And yes… there will be adorable adoptable pups like this little one! 🐶❤️ This particular sweetheart (and some of the other animals) may find their forever homes before October 19 — but Pet Pack will have animals looking for families to love.

Come hungry and help us support an organization very near and dear to our hearts! Onice Sicilian American Bakery will be serving authentic Sicilian hot meals AND our traditional cannoli from the Cannoli Slanger.

Even better — we’re sharing the proceeds 50/50 with Pet Pack Rescue Initiative!

Demi has been moved to adoptive placement! We have a new chi named Rachel joining us next week!

Meet Demi! This bundle of cuteness comes to us from Peoria County! She is a brindle and white Chihuahua that came in with like 7 other dogs from a hoard of dogs living in a hotel room that were left there alone. She is very dog friendly and great with cats. Her primary goal in life is to get belly rubs. She mines to give kisses, clean her canine friends’ ears, and cuddle too! Demi is 2-3 and housebroken as well. She will be foster to adopt eligible later this week! You need to be an hour or so from Peoria for foster to adopt consideration! She weighs in around 7 lbs to date!
