"Laissez les bons temps rouler" is French for "I slept with a king cake under my pillow and the Mardi Gras fairy brought me two parades".

The 2025 Krewe of Lafitte Illuminated Mardi Gras Parade kicks off at 7:30 pm tonight and at 2 pm tomorrow is the Pensacola Mardi Gras Grand Mardi Gras Parade. Expect downtown Pensacola road closures to begin at 4:30 this afternoon and 11 am tomorrow. Vehicle towing along the direct parade route will begin after 5:30 pm today and 11 am tomorrow - be sure to follow all posted signage for temporary no parking zones.

As for the parades, be on the look out for flying Moon Pies, beads, and the occasional crawfish. Keep the kids on the correct side of the barriers. And be a good parade neighbor.

We'll be there to help you have a good time. If you have too good of a good time and get behind the wheel, we will ensure that you don't have a good time. Deal? Deal.
