Devastating update…
Today we fully expected to pick up our bus. The part was in, the mechanic installed it, and everything was being wrapped up this morning. When we hadn’t heard anything, we drove over to check on it ourselves.
That’s when we got the news.
The mechanic discovered a crack in the engine block… which means the “new” engine we just had installed is a complete dud. We now need another engine.
Because of this, we are having to cancel events. For now, we are reaching out to everyone booked through mid-June to notify you and begin issuing refunds.
To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. When Blue Angels Automotive installed this engine, the timeline was supposed to be two weeks—and it turned into almost two months. So at this point, we honestly don’t know what timeline to expect, and we don’t want to keep anyone waiting in uncertainty.
This is not how we envisioned our season starting. The kids are just getting out. We truly believed this was going to be our best year yet with a new engine in place.
On the upside, I’m grateful this was found now—because it could have left us stranded in an even worse situation down the road.
In the meantime, we’re trying to get creative. I do have a pontoon boat, and I’m seriously considering setting up a freezer and generator to sell popsicles just to keep something going.
We’ve now been out of work for nearly a month, and we would truly appreciate your prayers, support, and patience as we work through this unexpected setback.
