Sometimes this job is heavier than people realize.

When you own a small business, you celebrate every happy customer… but you also carry every disappointment. I replay things in my head, wonder what I could’ve done differently, and care way more than I probably should.

The truth is, I pour my whole heart into every cake that leaves my kitchen. Some are easier than others, but every single one matters to me.

I’m incredibly thankful for the families who continue to trust me with birthdays, weddings, showers, and all of life’s biggest moments. Your support means more than you’ll ever know. ❤️

Well… my favorite customer turned 11 yesterday. ❤️⚾🎂

Every year he gets to pick his birthday cake theme, and every year I secretly hope he’ll choose something that matches my interests.

This year? A Cubs cake.

Just a reminder that we’re a Reds family… so I’m choosing to believe this is just a phase. 😂

He’s one of the biggest sports lovers I know, my built-in taste tester, my future business partner (because he’s already been informed he’ll be taking over Chelsea’s Cakes one day), and the reason I get to celebrate birthdays like this in the first place.

Happy 11th Birthday to my favorite little cake critic. Even if his baseball team choices could use some work. ❤️💙⚾

Thanks to Indiana’s updated cottage food law, I can officially expand my menu! 🥳

Here’s what’s new:

✨ Charcuterie boxes (grab-and-go from the porch fridge!)
✨ Grazing tables are now an official menu item.
✨ Cheesecakes are officially available to order.
✨ Cream cheese buttercream is no longer subject to previous quantity limits, which means even more options for custom cakes and desserts!

This semi-naked wedding white cake was headed off to be dressed up with fresh florals, and while I didn’t get to see the finished masterpiece, I can confidently say the flavor was chef’s kiss. 😋
