Bos Landen Golf Course The 18-hole championship public course at Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella, Iowa, was designed by well-known architect Dick Phelps. The name speaks for itself.

It has been ranked as Iowa's #1 Public Golf Course from 1997 to 2001 and was also ranked in the Top-75 Most Affordable Golf Digest awarded Bos Landen with its "Four Star Place to Play - 2007." Each hole features 5 sets of tees for players of all skill levels, ranging from 5,100 to 7,000 yards in length. Bos Landen, located just outside of Des Moines, comes from the Dutch language meaning “Land of

the Woods”. The Des Moines golf course sits on 190 heavily wooded acres and features a wide variety of shot making holes. Bos Landen is a great test of skill to all players and the picturesque scenery will have you wanting to come back for more. Being located in central Iowa, one would think the land would be fairly flat with views of the countryside. However, when you arrive at Bos Landen this is not the case with all of the terrain and beautiful views.

Friends of Bos Landen and the Pella Community,

We are writing to you with an update for our 2026 scorecards. In the summer of 2026, we will be ending our current scorecard contract with a third party company, and will begin using our own scorecards that will be made right here in Pella!

With this change, we are aiming to find one local sponsor that will be featured on all of our scorecards for our fiscal calendar of June 2026 to June 2027.
