As a submarine veteran, I understand that freedom is never free. Today isn’t about barbecues or a long weekend, although I hope you get to enjoy both of those — it’s about honoring the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we could live free in the greatest country on earth.
To those who never made it home… we remember you.
We honor you.
And we will never forget the price you paid for our freedom.
May God bless the fallen, their families, our military, and the United States of America.
