Bourbon barrel cake for the birthday boy !

Old fashioned flavored cake with a bourbon pastry cream and Italian meringue buttercream. My first two tier cake! The barrel is made of modeling chocolate and fondant.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful birthday celebrations and well wishes!

This is the first year I made my own birthday cake! Four layers alternating rich chocolate cake and decadent cheesecake, filled with raspberry jam and frosted with ruby chocolate buttercream. Pink roses courtesy of the world’s best husband Darren Gandhi.
