At Island Lobster Company, we believe in community, sustainability, and being responsible stewards of Maine’s lobster industry.

One of the most important ways we protect the future of our fishery is by teaching the next generation. A key part of Maine’s sustainable lobster practices is V-notching egg-bearing female lobsters, ensuring they’re returned safely to the sea to continue reproducing for years to come.

The friendly statewide Billion Egg Challenge is happening now! Learn how you can get involved, support sustainable fishing, or cheer on Capt. Thom and Tommy as they take on the challenge.
