This email will be sent the Friday before each meeting as a reminder and it will have the link to watch online if you can't be there in person. Please download Microsoft Teams on your electronic device to watch remotely. If you have questions regarding codes for our community you can visit the website. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be Monday, October 12th at 7:00 pm in the city meeting room.
**For after hours emergencies the Peabody On Call Phone number is 620-381-4898
**It’s 4-H week! 4-H members projects are on display at the Bank, SouthSide and in the window at Gathered Round Bistro & Bakery!
**There will be a FREE Community Energy Information Gathering at the Peabody Township Library, 214 N. Walnut, Peabody, Kansas, on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 7:00 PM until no later than 9:00 PM. The gathering will be held in the library basement.
The purpose of this gathering is to provide practical information and resources to help members of our community manage their energy costs during the coming winter and summer months.
Evergy representatives will be present to explain free programs that may be available to local residents, as well as programs and practical steps designed to help reduce energy consumption during both the winter and summer.
Representatives from the Peabody Association of Churches will also be present to discuss the local resources available through our churches and the importance of planning ahead for utility expenses. The Association's resources are limited, and the best way to help our community is to encourage everyone to take advantage of available programs, conserve energy where possible, and keep utility accounts as current as circumstances allow.
This gathering will provide valuable, practical information for individuals and families with limited resources or those living on a fixed income. We hope this information will help our neighbors prepare for the coming cold-weather months and make use of resources that may be available to them.
Promotional materials will be available in the next couple of weeks. Please help us spread the word throughout the Peabody community.
