Meet the owners of Chubbys. We are made up of 9 brothers, and one technically non brother who we have adopted in to the Chubbys family(can you guess which one is the non brother?)

I can’t think of any better people to business with! I love these guys so much, and I’m grateful for the examples they are to me, and to my family. These guys here are my best friends, and I feel so Lucky to be able to work side by side with them each day, and build something amazing together!

Last week I made a post about tagging your favorite local businesses and I would personally deliver scones to them!

Though I still have an IOU out for Aroma Cafe in Santaquin, these are the businesses that I was able to deliver to last week:

Last night, my wife and I went on a double date with our friends Ty, and Felicia Ashton.

We met Ty and Felicia a couple of years ago while I was coaching one of their kids in flag football. Conversation was easy with them, and we hit it off instantly.

Towards the tail end of the season, they found out we are the owners who operate Chubbys Cafe in Payson, and Springville, and we found out they were the owners of Ashton’s Burger Barn. Though both businesses reside in separate towns, we are only a few miles apart.

Instant friction, right?? Wrong!!!

When we made that connection, we were both ECSTATIC! We didn’t see each other as competitors. We were excited because we now had friends that we could empathize with! We both have the same understanding of how hard the food industry is, and we both know the work that goes into it. We share the same frustrations, and the same celebrations. We both have young families who we work hard for to support, and raise the best we can.

We talk about how to get more time with the family, and how to navigate rising food costs, without raising prices. We talk about our growth and our visions of where we want to be. We talk about ideas on how to make operations more efficient; and about how to build a good culture, and hire good employees. But most importantly, WE CHEER EACH OTHER ON!

We get hyped on each others success, and we can relate in our failures.

We are so grateful for friendships like theirs, and for the value they bring to the community! We pray for their success as we do ours.

Kids these days!

I love (almost) everything about what I do in my career. But my favorite part? Employees!!

This post is strictly to brag on the amazing employees we have at here at Chubby’s Cafe! I can’t say enough good about each of them! They all bring their own experiences, and personalities, and they make each day worth it!

This was a combined end of summer party with the Payson, and Springville location.
