6 years ago we opened Chester’s Pit Stop. A shack in much need of TLC next to a sketchy car wash. We didn’t really have any restaurant experience, but we used our love for good food and good folks to refurbish the shack into a clean, safe, and functional hot dog joint. The rest is history! We created a limited menu made with love and appreciation for all our amazing, supportive customers that ultimately became friends and family to enjoy.

As many of you know, we were looking for the right buyer to continue our successful journey. We ultimately found that buyer. He was ecstatic. We were looking forward to watching Chester’s continue to serve our community, and a much needed surgery for Chester himself!

Unfortunately, the sale of our business was destroyed by the unrealistic demands of the landlords who have the ability and egocentric will to diminish our small business and the hopes and futures of our and our buyer’s families by placing undeserved claim to our profits simply because of our success. We did not cower down and agree to their demands. Now, we have no other choice but to close our doors.
We will not be bullied, manipulated, or extorted.

Chester’s was never going to make us wealthy, and that is not our intention. Nor is it our intention to make a greedy landlord wealthier by profiting off of our hard work. We have a strong understanding of right and wrong, and we were wronged by the selfishness of these community members that have one clear vision: $$$$. It will never be enough for them, but we are enough.

We will find a new home. We hope to continue to serve you in the future. Thank you all for your support.
