Hello Parker

I apologize for not posting this sooner.

Whiskey River Steakhouse will be closed for the remainder of the summer.

With some of the river bars reopening - and we’re super happy for them, support them 💯 and wish them all the best - we have been unseasonably slow - which is completely understandable.

In order to make the most effective use of our resources we determined that it would be more beneficial for us to go on hiatus until the fall/winter. Please know that I t has been an honor serving our customers and we are very much looking forward to seeing everyone back in October. 🍁 🎃

WR has got some new and very exciting things in development that we know you’re going to love 😊

In the meantime Sand Bar will be serving the same delicious high quality steaks and awesome Sand Bar style sides. So until October, we’ll see ya at the Sand Bar! If you want a great pizza or gourmet dog please visit Jay over at Dogfathers too. 🌭 🍕

My daddy just died. Sarge is the sweetest dog you'll find. He is almost 3 and loves dogs and kids. They are taking him to the Xrit pound in 3 days. IM me if you want to meet him I am a neighbor. Ty

Unfortunately we have a staff member out sick and no one to replace her. We will be open bright and early on Tuesday with some great new dessert items for you!

Yesterday I received a call at Sand Bar from someone saying they were with APS and we had one hour before our electricity was going to be shut off and I would be able to be restored until Friday. Now normally I am very suspicious of these types of calls BUT I knew our bill was due (albeit not late) and I recalled the number they called me on and the outgoing message said ‘you have called the APS business office’ so I just wasn’t sure. The person on the other line offered to let me pay via Zelle as a favor since I’m in a ‘rural’ area. I was convinced enough to try it but Zelle flagged it and put a hold on it. Lucky for me! He then insisted I rush to Walmart to put the money on a gift card because that was the ‘fastest way to get it to them’. Then I knew it was a complete scam. I looked up and called APS and confirmed my account was fine. I reported the fraud to them and also to the sheriffs department and to my bank. I found out that they’ve called and made the same threats to several local here in Parker including Dogfathers.

I’m just giving every business owner in town the heads up. Be super careful, these creeps are out there! Verify everything
