Our new concrete was checked this morning and unfortunately it is not ready for foot traffic. Hopefully, the dining room will be closed for only a portion of today. It will be checked again later to see if we can allow foot traffic on it.

Today, we’re pouring the concrete for our new sidewalk and handicap-accessible entrance.

We know the temporary loss of our handicap access over the past couple of months has been frustrating. We’re happy to say that getting this new concrete poured is a major step toward getting that access back and making the entrance easier and more accessible for everyone.

Because the concrete work takes place directly in front of our restaurant entrance, we will have to close our dining room for today. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is an important part of getting the project moving forward.

The good news is that our drive-in carhop service will remain OPEN!

You can still pull in, park at a carhop, and enjoy your favorite food and drinks just like normal. We’ll be here and ready to serve you!
We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through these construction steps. We know it hasn’t always been convenient, but we’re getting closer to having everything completed!

Thank you for sticking with us! We can’t wait to have this part finished and welcome you back inside.

Summer flew by, and it's that time again — our college team is heading back to college this week, and area schools start back up next week. That means it’s time for a little schedule change.

Starting today, August 24th, we’ll be open 11 AM to 8 PM daily.

Thanks for making this summer a great one! We’re still here daily, just closing up a bit earlier.

We wanted to share a quick update since many of you have been asking about all the activity around the restaurant!

Construction is officially underway on a small addition to our building. While some may have been hoping for a larger dining room, we've reached the point where we need more Back of House space to better serve you.

Our addition will allow us to:
•Add much-needed freezer and food storage space.
•Relocate equipment into the new addition, creating more room in both our kitchen and server area.
•Improve workflow and efficiency for our team during our busiest times.
•Create a new entry area for our guests.

These improvements will help us keep up with the incredible growth we've experienced over the past few years and allow us to provide better service for everyone.

The good news... We are staying OPEN throughout construction!

Our dining room currently remains open and we are currently operating 13 of our 16 car hops, with the remaining 3 returning once construction is complete. If you'd rather skip the wait, you can also place your order online and pick it up! It's a convenient option while construction is underway.

Our goal is to keep both the dining room and our car hop service operating throughout the construction process. If anything changes along the way, we'll be sure to keep you updated.

We know some of you may have been hoping for a bigger dining room, and we completely understand! As much as we'd love more seating, expanding our Back of House will make a big difference in how efficiently we can serve you and continue providing the experience you've come to expect.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support while we make these improvements. We're excited about what this means for the future and can't wait to serve you even better!

Happy Independence Day from all of us at A&W Park Rapids!

There's nothing quite like the Fourth of July… parades, Root B**r Floats, backyard BBQs, fireworks, and time spent with the people who matter most. As America celebrates 250 years of independence, we're raising a frosty mug and saying...

To give our amazing team a chance to enjoy the holiday evening with their friends and families, we'll be closing a little early today.

We will be open from 11 am to 7 pm. Our dining room closes at 6 pm. Carhop service will be available until 7 pm.

Stop by for your favorite burger, an ice-cold root b**r, or a famous root b**r float before heading off to your holiday celebrations!

Thank you for making A&W Park Rapids part of your summer traditions. We wish you a safe, happy, and unforgettable Independence Day filled with great food, great company, and spectacular fireworks.
