All trails south of Happy Valley are closed at this point.
That means no parking at the Grist Mill.
Panther lake trail will remain open.
Access to HVI is still open.

Alright the post everyone has been waiting for we are officially opening our system! Some of our groomers are currently out working reporting back with fair conditions and a lot of water. If you choose to ride please use caution as there maybe down trees, water holes and rocks. We will work over the next day or so to get everything groomed as long as conditions allow.

Most of the maiden voyages were made tonight!

Everything north of Central Square and Panther Lake trails have been groomed.

There are still a lot of water holes that are not frozen.

Trails from Central Square north are now open and in fair condition.

All our trails are open except the panther lake trail that meets vanderbilt.

I'd like to give a shout out to a couple trail angels from Erie, PA. I was cutting up a fallen tree along the trail and they were kind enough to get off their sleds and help me with cleaning up the limbs.
The past few days have been very challenging for groomer operators. We are working long hours trying to get our trail system back in shape after the huge snow fall. There are many downed trees and lots of "hangers" blocking the trail. If you see one of us cutting branches or clearing brush, please take a minute of two to lend a hand. We're volunteers and are doing this work for you! Nothing is more discouraging than to have sledders sit and watch you cut up a tree and not get off their sled to help...or worse yet, try to scoot past you while you are still in the process of clearing a path.

ALL CLEAR!

Our entire trail system has been cleared of trees and groomed.

This was one of the biggest in season messes we have ever experienced.

A huge thank you to every sledder that stopped and helped remove debris. The 4 guys from Kirkville that stayed and helped for over a hour on the panther lake trail we can’t thank you enough!!

The photo below was cleared by a rider that brought his own chainsaw on his sled… thank you!

We hope everyone is done shoveling and can get on their sleds and enjoy this record snow we have!

Please be patient as we dig ourselves out of this storm
All of our volunteers have been busy with other sorts of snow removal.
Groomers are out currently trying to open up road crossings and remove the downed trees.
Hopefully by the weekend everything will back to normal but until then it is not safe for sleds.
We will update here when everything is back open.
