Hey Tea Family,
We feel that we’re overdue for an update, though unfortunately our updates lately seem to come with challenges. As some of you may remember, about a year ago we experienced a serious accident. Tim had a seizure, which led to our dog reacting, and ultimately landed us in the hospital. Thankfully (knock on wood), Tim has been doing well and has had no issues since his surgery.
As for me, my immune system has really taken a hit, and with it, my mental health as well. I seem to be constantly getting sick. Today, I’m dealing with pneumonia and the possibility of other issues, though we don’t have clear answers yet. Honestly, I don’t even remember what it feels like to be truly healthy anymore. It makes me miss my little shop more than I can say. Being sick all the time leaves me exhausted, and unfortunately, bills don’t stop coming just because life gets hard. I know many of you can relate to this.
All we ask right now is for your thoughts and prayers. On a positive note, we have started selling some of our hot chocolate mix, and it’s been a big success at Tim’s workplace. There are still a few things we need to finalize, but if you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
As a reminder, some of our teas are still available at Abby’s Corner in La Vista and Omaha Oriental in Omaha. Due to unexpected expenses, we’ve been unable to place some orders with our distributors and have already had to drop one because we couldn’t meet the minimum order requirement. It’s been a tough time, to say the least. That said, if you’re interested in ordering a pound of your favorite tea, please message us. We may be able to make it work.

Hey Bureikou family,
We wanted to share a few updates with you all. First, thank you so much to everyone who continues to support us. It truly means the world!

Due to low sales and limited time, we haven’t been able to restock as much as we’d like. If you need anything, please feel free to reach out to us through email or via Facebook or Instagram Messenger.

We’ve also temporarily disabled our shipping option. We recently discovered that Square changed its shipping system from weight-based to a flat rate without notifying us. Because of this, many orders were not being charged correctly for shipping, which unfortunately caused us to lose money. Since a flat rate doesn’t work well for small orders, like a single bag of tea, we will now handle shipping manually. If you need something shipped, just message us and we’ll prepare an invoice that includes both the tea and the accurate shipping cost after we get an estimate.

Local delivery is still available for a small fee, and you can always choose free pickup at our friends’ shop, Abby’s Corner. We’re also planning to have some teas stocked at Abby’s Corner soon!

We kindly ask for your patience with order times. As I, Angie, started a new job with an unpredictable schedule, and Tim has just accepted a full-time position, it may take us a bit longer to process orders. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

With ongoing medical bills and business expenses, even without a physical shop. It’s important for us to work as much as we can to stay afloat and continue moving toward our long-term goal, reopening in a few years.

Thank you all so much for your patience, kindness, and support as we navigate this rollercoaster of a year. You’ve helped make it better than we could have hoped.

Hello everyone! The city has officially cancelled Winter Wonderland, and while we’ll miss seeing you, we’re glad they’re putting everyone’s safety first. If you’re craving our hot chocolate, don’t worry—Tim and I are working on a take-home mix so you can enjoy it from the comfort of your own home. Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy this snowy day indoors!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the radio silence. We have been working hard on the steps we need to take to reopen and are planning out everything for when we do. However, we do currently have a lot going on in our personal lives so it is going a little slower than planned.
