Lost River Market & Deli is a friendly, local, community-owned grocery store and deli located in the heart of Paoli, Indiana. We carry many local products including cheeses, meats, produce, honey, and much more. We also feature conventional grocery items, gluten-free products, organic products, regional craft beers, wine, bulk goods (grains, legumes, beans, nuts, rice, cereal, snacks, herbs, spices, teas, coffees, nut butters, etc...) Our deli makes delectable soups, sandwiches, wraps, salads, breads, and desserts. We also have a salad bar and a grab-and-go case with homemade foods for when you are in a hurry. We even have tables inside and out where you can dine. Everyone is most welcome to shop at our store!

Come by between 11:30am and 1:30pm to try either our Chicken Pot Pie Casserole or Roasted Mushroom Pot Pie Casserole. Both are made in house, from scratch, with LOTS of LOVE!

Pot Pie not your thing? Grab a hot bowl of soup and one of our delicious, made to order sandwiches 😋

We have two amazing hot bars being served today, one for lunch and one for dinner, at the market!

From 11:30am to 1:30pm you can come enjoy breakfast for lunch on our breakfast bar! We will have Fischer Farms Natural Foods Bacon, Biscuits and Gravy, Scrambled Eggs and Breakfast Potatoes.

Starting at 4:00pm we will be serving made from scratch lasagna! Enjoy your dinner while enjoying live music by the Orange County Homegrown Jammers or grab dinner to-go!

It's the perfect day to stop by the Co-op for some amazing comfort food!

This Thursday will be our last Farm Stand trip to English and Bedford for the season! 🍎🫑🍠

We’ll still have plenty of tomatoes, squash, peppers, and apples available. Come see us and stock up while you can!

Have you heard about all the food access programs that Lost River Co-op and Orange County Food Trust are working on?

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be featuring some of the food access programs we’re working on across Orange, Crawford, and Lawrence Counties.

First up is our 🌽Bag of Basics🍅 program.

In 2026, Bag of Basics has delivered 1,152 bags of food to seniors living in senior housing communities. Each participant receives a bag of food for six weeks that includes a vegetable, fruit, and protein, all at no cost to them.

This program has been made possible through community donations, grants, register tips, and support from housing management companies.

Want to help us keep these bags going? You can sponsor a senior and help provide them with fresh, nutritious food at no cost.

What an incredible collection of pies and talent for this year's Paoli Fall Festival Pie Contest! 🥧

We are so grateful for everyone who shared their pie with us! We had some seriously impressive entries, and while we’re recognizing the winners in each category, we’re also going to share photos of all the pies because honestly, they were all fabulous and you all deserve to be famous.

We had four judges who took their jobs very seriously: County Commissioners Richard Dixon, Marshall Noble and Steve Hopper, along with Brandon Burris representing Veteran 7.

🏆 The Winners:

Best Unique Pie: Sandy Elliott for “Sawdust”
Best Cream Pie: Amy Doan for her pretty amazing Peanut Butter Pie
Best Fruit Pie: Carrie Graves for her Apple Pie

After the judging, the pies made their way over to the Fall Festival for everyone to sample and cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award.

We have exciting news!! 👇
Author Scott Russell Sanders is coming to Paoli!

The First and Only Presbyterian Church in Paoli is hosting the second program in its Traveling University series on Sunday, September 20, from 2:00–3:30 p.m.

This program will feature Scott Russell Sanders, author and former Distinguished Professor of English at Indiana University, speaking on “Our Common Wealth.”

When Sanders talks about wealth, he means the things we all share and benefit from: our culture, climate, public education, and the other resources that belong to all of us. He will explore the ways these shared treasures are being challenged and what it means when individual gain comes at the expense of our common wealth.

The program is free and open to the public, and no reservations are required.
