Wow. We are so humbled.

In a town with a population of just 500 about 200 of you showed up this weekend for one last visit and yesterday was the biggest day we've had in A YEAR by a landslide! We are completely sold out.

Our day was filled with so many great memories with lots of hugs and fond farewell wishes. It was so wonderful to have the lobby full all day long, it felt like one big party.

Women who have been loyal supporters of our mission came in and dropped hundreds of dollars all at once on merchandise, humbling us.

Mayor Mike stopped by as well for lunch.

So. Much. Fried. Rice.

We ate lunch, watched football, laughed and hugged and cried all at once.

Some of the things we heard this weekend:

"I have been coming here every week since you opened "

"You we're one of the first businesses to take a chance on my product to get me started"

"We discovered your place on our anniversary and this has been our anniversary place ever since"

"You've done so much for our little town"

"Thank you for giving my son his first job"

"You have changed so many lives for the better here"

"Our lives are better because of you"

"I was just thinking I am sure going to miss the Mercantile and bringing the kids up there !! Lots of good memories. I really do appreciate how good you have been to me and my family!"

I would like to take a moment here to publicly recognize Rachel and Earl over at Arrow's Cafe & BBQ in Heber Springs. I reached out to them before the holidays in an effort to secure employment for two people on my team who would really need it. With God's help they found a way to extend an offer to both of them and for that I am very grateful. So next time you're in Heber please go support them.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and bring you peace! (Numbers 6:24-26.)

Good Sunday Morning!

As announced last month, today is our final day of operation at the Mercantile on Main Street. David and I will be there from 11 AM to 5 PM to bid farewell and we have a cake to celebrate our adventure! We hope that you will join us today and help us sell the remaining food and merchandise inventory that we have left and of course today is the last day to redeem any gift cards that you may have. We look forward to serving you one last time today!

Our chicken salad sandwiches are on sale buy one get the second 50% off! We are serving the cranberry pecan chicken salad! Yum! 

We are open today on New Year's Day until 7 PM. And we will open again tomorrow on Friday from 11 AM to 8 PM. See you soon!

This weekend is our last weekend to be open:

Friday 1/2 11-8
Saturday 1/3 10-8
Sunday 1/4 11-5
Owners on site, Farewell Day! We will celebrate our adventure with a cake and photo slide show and lots of hugs!

All merchandise is 20% off except crochet. We will need to sell the remaining food items so come hungry this weekend!

January 20: There will be an online auction for all of the equipment inside the building by Workmans Auction. Go follow their FB page for updates and be ready to bid online! We are liquidating everything down to the forks and spoons!

The building will be listed for sale right after that. If you are interested in purchasing it I can be reached at 501-690-3134. I will have more details including pricing next week.
