We regret to inform our friends that the McDonald's story was an April Fool's joke made by someone that is not affiliated with Southern Girls. We apologize if the joke generated unnecessary excitement as we did not create it. However, the good news is that we are pleased to take this opportunity to officially announce that we will be rebuilding the restaurant at the same location, with construction beginning this summer. Please be assured that this announcement is genuine. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Something has become very clear to us all this last week. And that is that Southern Girls has become a special family for many of us as employees, customers and friends alike. Sunday morning Dec 10th we suffered a terrible loss when our building caught fire in the early morning hours around 2.AM with no employees present and no injuries. Local and Surrounding Fire Departments fought diligently to save it, but ultimately it was determined a total loss. But within hours of the fire the outpouring of support started coming in and hasn’t stopped yet. Last night our town came together at a Fish Fry Fundraiser and Auction for our employees who lost their jobs because of the fire. To see the amount of support and love shown by the people, groups, businesses and churches all across this town, county, state and country has absolutely blown us all away. Pangburn is what makes this possible. We are beyond blessed to be able to have a such a special town to run a business in. We would like to especially thank Chad for getting the ball rolling and organizing this huge event and taking all the calls and work involved to make it possible for all of our customers, friends, neighboring businesses, churches, groups and individuals to reach out and show their support for us by donating and contributing and cooking, those who donated money, items and desserts for auction and the Pangburn Fire Department for the location and our supporting Fire Departments for their quick aid that night and so many others that we are still working on a list and a way to thank you all without missing anyone. We can not express enough how much we all appreciate what you all have done for us on this holiday season. So thank you Santa and all his Elves for saving Christmas for the Southern Girls Family. Merry Christmas and we hope to be back as soon as we can.
