Garrett’s got a good one picked out for tonight. 🍷

This is Thompson 31Fifty’s 2021 Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay from California’s Russian River Valley—a small-production Chardonnay with bright green apple, floral notes, minerality and enough French oak aging to give it some beautiful structure without losing its freshness.

And there’s a little history in that bottle, too. Bacigalupi is one of Sonoma’s storied vineyards, with Chardonnay grapes from the property playing a part in the legendary 1976 Judgment of Paris.

If Tuesday needs a bottle of w**e and a place to settle in for the evening, we’ve got both covered.

This one deserves a little attention. 🍷

Meet 2018 Andis ENOR, a Rhône-style red blend from California’s Sierra Foothills made from 34% Syrah, 33% Grenache and 33% Mourvèdre. It spent 18 months in French oak, including 30% new oak, and earned 94 points from The Tasting Panel.

Think dark plum, blackberry, chocolate, white pepper and dried violet, with a rich texture and a long, savory finish. W**e Enthusiast also praised the vintage for its balance and velvety tannins, awarding it 92 points.

And here's the fun part: we only have four bottles left.

So rather than quietly letting the last of them disappear, we're opening a few for California: Coast to Foothills this Wednesday, September 23 from 5–9 PM. ENOR will be the final pour in our four-w**e California flight, following Star Lane Sauvignon Blanc, T. Berkley Cabernet Franc Rosé and J Dusi Model M Red Blend.
