Thanks to our very own ranger nick & crew for all the hard work they do to keep manatee county looking beautiful!

Thank you to our Natural Resources Rangers who worked together to successfully complete a prescribed burn at Headwaters at Duette Preserve Thursday.

While not every prescribed burn requires an “all hands on deck” approach, this particular unit called for additional coordination due to its location near a major roadway and adjacent private properties. Every member of the crew played an important role in helping ensure the burn was completed safely and successfully.

Prescribed fire is an important land management tool that helps support native plant communities, improve wildlife habitat and maintain a healthy, resilient landscape. Each successfully treated acre contributes to the long-term ecological health of our preserves.

Thank you to the entire crew for another successful burn!
