Hey Cupcake Loving Friends!
I have some hard announcements to share. After two years of food blogging and nearly four years of operating a cottage bakery of the same name, MsCupcakeasaurus will officially be closing. I can not express in one post how much your love and support through the years has both encouraged and inspired me. I am forever grateful for the love you've shown me and all the flavors we've been able to explore together. As of April 30th, MsCupcakeasaurus will no longer be in operation and will not be accepting any further orders. As your friend and neighbor, I still love baking and will be happy to turn my business back into a hobby if you find that you want cupcakes in the future. Please know that a lot of love went into this business and I could not have done it without you. Thank you all so much for following my journey for the last several years.
I have already turned my attention to new endeavors and I am currently working on a book of poetry. If you would like to stay in touch you are welcome to follow me at Plank Poetry . I know that cupcakes and poetry don't seem to have a lot in common but both have been creative outlets for me for years. I look forward to seeing where this new journey takes me.

Imagine you are two years old. You ate all your dinner and you are a good little kid. Now it is time for dessert. Is there anything better than licking the frosting off the perfect chocolate cupcake?
I know I could be advertising Valentine's cupcakes, but I'm not. Instead I'm just going to leave this right here. Love comes in all forms and one of the purest is a little kid and their cupcake.

My daughter watches as the first woman is sworn in as Vice President. She is too young to realize how important this moment is right now. But, because of the events of today, new opportunities will open up for her and all women in America.

I know the New Year doesn't magically bring along a big reset button. However, I'm still an optimist and hope that 2021 brings about something better.
Love yourself. Love your neighbor. Work hard and be kind. I think those will be what I strive for most this year.

Happy Holidays!
However you celebrate, I hope you are enjoying good food and quality time with family and friends whether in person or through Zoom.
Personally, I'll be doing a little of it all this year. This morning the kids were treated to Sprinkle pancakes 🎊🥞 and a nice fat ham will go in the oven this evening. Then tomorrow we will visit with family both in person and over video call.

These plus another dozen of their friends made their way to a birthday celebration today.
My kitchen is officially closed until 2021. 🥂
This last batch is made of rich chocolate cake topped in a super creamy peanutbutter buttercream and a peanut butter drizzle. 🍫🥜

The second half of the Naughty and Nice duo six pack are perfectly sweet and made of sugar and spice and everything nice.
This vanilla almond cake is lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg for just a little holiday flavor. It is then filled with a tart homemade pomegranate jelly and topped with a citrus lemon orange frosting.

Today was a busy day of deliveries for the holiday Naughty and Nice preorders. 🚗🧁
I hope everyone enjoys eating them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
This delectable little number will be making you feel a little Naughty. A rich chocolate cake is made spicy with cayenne pepper for a nice kick. Then, it is filled with a rum infused chocolate ganache and topped with a fluffy chocolate buttercream. The cherry on top is not just any ordinary cherry. You know how when something awesome is added to something that is already super awesome it is referred to as the "cherry on top"? 🍒
I am solely convinced they are referring to these Rum Soaked Chocolate Covered Cherries! 🥃🍫🍒
These boozy bad boys will be topping half of the cupcakes of the Naughty and Nice 6 pack.
The Spicy rich chocolate cake made with real chocolate and a little cayenne pepper will be filled with rum infused chocolate ganache. Then it is topped in a smooth chocolate buttercream and one of these rum soaked chocolate covered cherries. Could this cupcake get any better?
