To our Beloved Extended Family and Community,
Today, our hearts are filled with so much emotion that words alone cannot fully capture. After 59 incredible years of serving you, it is with both sadness and excitement that we announce the passing of the torch of our family restaurant to new ownership.
Let us assure you, this is not the end of an era, but the start of a new chapter. With the vision and passion of Sergio Alonso, we as a family are confident that he and his family will take Walter’s to greater heights while preserving the legacy we’ve created over three generations.
Whether you remember Walter and Jo welcoming you; Lenny serving you at the grill surrounded by NASCAR memorabilia while Grace made sure you got seated; or Walter and Adam washing dishes and clearing tables as kids, we have loved being a part of your lives and you were certainly a cherished part of ours. We took great pride in serving you your usual.
To each and every one of you who has walked through our doors, who has shared our journey, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have been more than customers; you have been our extended family. Through all the ups and downs, we thank you for all the memories, allowing us to be a part of your lives, and allowing us to continue doing what we love most, which is serving you!
As we turn the page into this new chapter, we are filled with so much hope and excitement for what the future holds for Walter’s. While faces may change, we are confident that the heart and soul of Walter’s will always remain the same—a place where friendships are made, barriers are broken, and stomachs and souls are filled;
—a place where everyone has a seat at the table and a story to share.
—a place “where the elite meet to eat.”
This what we will miss the most.
It has been our greatest honor and privilege to serve you and your families these last six decades. We’re only a short drive and phone call away. And don’t forget, your seat is waiting!
