🎬 This Week on The Real House Cats of Palm Springs: The DNA Scandal

Palm Springs was shaken to its core this week after Oliver unveiled the results of a highly questionable ancestry test.

The results were devastating.

According to the report:

• Percy is 14% Siamese Stud Muffin
• Maxwell is related to everyone currently living in Riverside County
• Poppy is exactly what everyone expected
• And Biscuit shares DNA with a raccoon

Witnesses say Biscuit immediately jumped onto the nearest table and demanded to know who funded the study.

“THIS IS A HIT PIECE,” she reportedly screamed.

Not meowed.

Screamed.

Percy was equally disturbed.

“I don’t know what a Siamese Stud Muffin is, but it sounds expensive and I deserve royalties.”

Maxwell was thrilled.

Within minutes he had updated his title to:

“Maxwell von Cousin of Everybody.”

He is already planning a family reunion.

Things took a darker turn when Macho Man entered the room.

After glancing at the report for approximately three seconds, he shrugged and said:

“Well… that explains why Biscuit isn’t even the prettiest calico.”

The room froze.

Biscuit froze.

Even Oliver looked nervous.

But Macho Man wasn’t finished.

“I mean, compared to Poppy and Sesame? It’s really not a competition.”

A volunteer dropped a coffee.

Percy fainted onto a decorative cushion.

Maxwell whispered,

“Oh, he’s chosen violence.”

Biscuit reportedly had to be physically restrained from smacking Macho Man and threw a vase in his direction.

The vase missed.

Mostly because Macho Man casually sidestepped it without interrupting his grooming session.

🎤 Confessional — Biscuit:

“First of all, I am not part raccoon.

Second, if I were part raccoon, I’d be the prettiest raccoon in Palm Springs.

Third, Macho Man should spend less time ranking calicos and more time figuring out why he’s still single.”

🎤 Confessional — Macho Man:

“Am I saying Biscuit isn’t pretty?

No.

I’m saying if there were a Calico Olympics, she’d be watching from the parking lot.”

🎤 Confessional — Percy:

“Can we please focus on the fact that I’ve apparently been reduced to 14% Siamese and 86% emotional damage?

Because nobody seems concerned about my suffering.”

🎤 Confessional — Maxwell:

“I don’t care who’s related to a raccoon.

What I need to know is whether all these cousins owe me birthday presents.”

🎤 Confessional — Oliver:

“I didn’t create the drama.

I simply printed the report, distributed copies, highlighted the controversial sections, and provided a safe space for the truth.”

Next week on The Real House Cats of Palm Springs…

Biscuit files a defamation lawsuit.

Macho Man releases his official Calico Rankings.

Percy hires a publicist.

Maxwell discovers seven more cousins.

And Oliver learns the ancestry company was actually a BuzzFeed quiz.

Catch it live at Frisky Business — where nobody knows the truth, but everyone has an opinion.

Meet Red, a 17-year-old cuddle bug who will gently tap your leg or arm for attention and happily follow you around the room. His bonded brother, Buster, is 13 years old and a sweet, shy boy who takes a little time to warm up.

After their beloved owner passed away, Red and Buster spent the past month at the shelter while Buster received treatment for some constipation issues. We’re happy to report that he’s feeling much better, and the boys have now made their way to Frisky.

Despite all the changes they’ve experienced, these bonded brothers have remained side by side. Red is already making friends and seeking out cuddles, while Buster is taking things at his own pace. We can’t wait for you to meet them both.

Hi Frisky Family, remember me?

It’s Eliza here… the tiny, soft, velvety furball who called Frisky home for almost a year.

Well, if you remember, I was adopted last September by the most amazing mum and dad ever. Life has been wonderful. I have cozy beds, sunny windows, and humans who think I’m perfect (which is correct).

But guess what?

Mum and Dad are on vacation, so Mrs. Frisky has been stopping by to check on me for a few days.

This afternoon was delightful. Mrs. Frisky sat with me while I enjoyed my lunch, and then we spent time together while she read her book. We shared tea, emotional-support cookies, and several very important conversations about the meaning of life.

It was glorious.

Unfortunately, after a few hours, Mrs. Frisky informed me that she had to go home to feed her own furbabies and give Buddha his medicine.

Naturally, I handled this news with grace, dignity, and emotional maturity.

Just kidding.

I immediately mewed like a tiny abandoned kitten and followed her to the door, making absolutely certain she felt as guilty as possible for leaving me.

Based on the look on her face, I’d say my performance was award-worthy.

Love,

A Message From Macho Man

Frisky Family, I have some surprising news.

When I arrived at Frisky Business a month ago, I quickly assumed the role of distinguished silver fox and resident senior gentleman. At 12 years old, I felt quite qualified.

Then today, a bonded pair named Red (17) and Buster (13) moved in.

Seventeen.

It turns out I’m not the elder statesman I thought I was. In fact, compared to Red, I’m practically a kitten.

Please join me in welcoming these handsome gentlemen to Frisky. They’re settling in nicely, and I’m already taking notes from cats with far more life experience than me.

Mrs. Frisky will share photos of the new boys tomorrow.

🎬 This Week on The Real House Cats of Palm Springs: Gaslighting, Bunnygate & A Relationship in Crisis

The Frisky Mansion remains under a state of emergency.

Day 6.

The TV is still not connected to the WiFi.

Salsa is devastated because she has now missed six consecutive episodes of her favorite soap opera:

Days of Our Nine Lives.

The long-running drama follows Princess Fluffington, who recently discovered her husband, Sir Whiskers III, has been carrying on a secret relationship with a Persian from the neighboring catio while simultaneously raising a second family in Scottsdale.

Salsa has no idea what happened next.

But she’s not nearly as devastated as she is by Percy’s behavior.

Sources say the couple’s relationship hit a breaking point after Salsa caught Percy staring out the window at the same bunny for the sixth consecutive day.

When confronted, Percy reportedly said:

“It’s just a bunny.”

Unfortunately for Percy, witnesses confirm he then provided a 20-minute presentation covering the bunny’s whereabouts, daily routine, favorite patch of grass, and long-term career aspirations.

Salsa was not impressed.

“It’s JUST a bunny?” she allegedly screamed while knocking over a water fountain.

“YOU KNOW HER SCHEDULE, PERCY.”

The fountain did not survive.

Things escalated further when Percy attempted to downplay the situation.

That’s when Salsa dropped the G-word.

“You’re gaslighting me.”

The room fell silent.

Even the bunny stopped chewing.

“First you tell me she’s just a bunny. Then you spend all day watching her. Which is it, Percy?”

Macho Man immediately pulled up a chair.

The silver fox has been following the drama closely and insiders say he has become far too invested for someone claiming not to care.

Witnesses later observed Macho Man carrying a bowl of treats from room to room while providing live commentary.

“I’ve been saying he’s been emotionally cheating for days. Nobody wanted to listen.”

Meanwhile, Mrs. Frisky has restarted the router so many times that the Frisky Felines are beginning to suspect she’s just pressing random buttons and hoping for a miracle.

🎤 Confessional — Salsa:
“Percy says it’s just a bunny. Then why did he call her ‘refreshingly low maintenance’?”

🎤 Confessional — Percy:
“We’re literally just friends.”

🎤 Confessional — Macho Man:
“That’s exactly what someone in a bunny relationship would say.”

🎤 Confessional — Mrs. Frisky:
“At this point I don’t know what’s broken anymore. The WiFi? The television? Or these cats?”

Next week on The Real House Cats of Palm Springs…

Salsa demands access to Percy’s window-viewing history.

Percy is caught sharing carrots.

Macho Man sells VIP tickets to the breakup.

And Mrs. Frisky changes the WiFi password to:

PERCY McMERCY’s OFFICIAL MORNING COMPLAINT

Good morning, Mrs. Frisky.

It is currently 7:09 a.m.

I am writing on behalf of the Frisky Feline Breakfast Committee to inquire about the status of our meal service.

As you are aware, you have often lectured us on the importance of punctuality. In fact, you regularly state that if you arrive on time, you are already late.

We have listened carefully.

We have embraced this philosophy.

We have improved upon it.

According to Frisky Feline Standards and Procedures, breakfast should be served before the sun even considers waking up. Ideally, bowls should be filled sometime between “the first bird chirp” and “why is it still dark outside?”

Instead, we are forced to sit at the window and stare dramatically into the distance like children in a Dickens novel waiting for news that supper might, against all odds, actually arrive.

I have personally checked the driveway 47 times.

Oliver has begun spreading rumors that there will be no breakfast at all.

Maxwell is pacing.

Biscuit has filed a formal grievance.

Poppy has fallen onto her side from sheer weakness and despair.

Meanwhile, I remain calm, professional, and incredibly brave under these difficult circumstances.

Please understand that every minute after 7:00 a.m. is equivalent to approximately three human business days in cat time.

We trust you will correct this alarming lapse in service immediately.

Warm regards,

Percy
