What can I say?
Twenty years ago , we unlocked the doors of the East Lake Varsity Club for the first time and were met with what would be the start of overwhelming support from this community.
During those years, my staff and I have had the honor of serving this community which so supported us. We worked our hearts out to provide great quality meals with friendly family service and always approached your visit as if we were inviting you to our home.
Through our twenty years together with you; we laughed, cried, celebrated Championships both big and small, licked our wounds after the losses, made lifelong friends, remembered lost friends , lifted each other and those around us up , and spent countless hours together.
Some of you have been coming to the VC since you were kids and now come in with kids of your own. That is just an amazing feeling and great to see.
I can’t find the words to thank each one of you enough.
I have also had the privilege of working with the best staff (and second family) anyone could ask for.
For some it was their first job, for others it was a job to get through college, nursing school, the academy or simply to pay bills to raise their families.
All around, they have been the best friends and coworkers anyone could ask for and I am happy to have shared a big part of my life with them.
Once again, I cant find the words to thank them enough.
And finally a thank you to Jody. You were my friend and mentor. You gave me the opportunity to prove what I could do. I did my best.
Thank you for believing in me.
So, today is the last day.
Thank you to everyone who made the last 20 years possible. I will miss you all until our paths cross again.
