I said I’d NEVER BE A TEACHER 😂, and I used to HATE being a youth leader as a child! 😂
And Yah still placed me in front of the youth…🤦🏾♀️
I was like, “Yah, I ain’t qualified to lead NOBODY… and lord, I ain’t got the patience, PLEASE let me be!” 🤣
And he made me a whole Baker, which literally attracts kids bc there’s always a child looking for a cookie or cupcakes somewhere 😩🤣🤷🏾♀️🧁
Funny how Yah will place you in something before you understand the purpose behind it.
One thing Yah has consistently done throughout my life is place me around YOUTH.
I used to wonder WHY. 😂
“Lord, these kids will drive you CRAZY!” 🤣
But eventually I realized the assignment was never about me being perfect or having all the answers.
It was about being willing to encourage, teach, nurture creativity, and be a positive example.
And somehow, Yah always gives me the patience for it.
That’s what I’ve come to appreciate about working with young people: when they feel genuinely encouraged and respected, they begin to see possibilities within themselves.
When I leave, they cry. 🥹
When I’m around, they feel like they can DO and BE anything. ❤️
And THAT means something to me.
I’ve always carried a youthful spirit. I’m an ARTIST, a CREATOR, and someone who believes creativity should be protected and developed—not ridiculed or limited.
Teaching creativity is a TRUE HONOR.
To every child with a dream: 💭
DON’T GIVE UP ON WHAT YOU LOVE.
Work at it.
Learn.
Grow.
Stay humble.
Stay resilient.
And most importantly, put YAH FIRST.
The gifts Yah placed inside of you do not require you to compete with anybody else.
You don’t have to dim someone else’s light to shine.
You simply have to develop what was placed inside YOU.
And sometimes the assignment you once thought you weren’t qualified for becomes the very place where Yah reveals a gift you didn’t know you had.
I understand that now.
LEAD BY EXAMPLE. CREATE WITH PURPOSE. TEACH WITH LOVE. STAY HUMBLE.
That’s the energy I choose to carry forward. 💡❤️
