September is here — the month when we start saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall flavors, cooler days, and the holiday season ahead!

Before we make that transition, we’re kicking off September with a little island-style fun!

On Friday, September 4, join us as we celebrate the 3rd Annual National Jimmy Buffett Day with Southern Tide Trio! Come enjoy dinner, drinks, and the sounds of Jimmy Buffett as we send summer off in true island fashion. 🦜

Then it’s time for our annual break! Bartletts will be closed Sunday, September 6 through Monday, September 21 while our crew gets a little well-earned downtime and we work behind the scenes — refreshing the restaurant, revising the menu with fall-inspired flavors, and getting ready for the upcoming holiday season.

TUESDAY DINING TIP | HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR STEAK?

Rare, medium rare, medium… we all have our preference. But what do those steak temperatures actually mean?

Here’s your quick guide:

🔴 Rare | 120–125°F
Cool-to-warm red center with a very soft, tender texture.

🌹 Medium Rare | 130–135°F
Warm red center, tender and juicy. Often considered the sweet spot for enjoying both the tenderness and flavor of a great steak.

🌸 Medium | 140–145°F
Warm pink center with a slightly firmer texture while still retaining plenty of juiciness.

🤎 Medium Well | 150–155°F
Just a touch of pink in the center with a firmer texture and less moisture.

🥩 Well Done | 160°F+
Little to no pink throughout and a fully cooked, firm texture.

One more steakhouse secret: Your steak can continue to rise a few degrees after it leaves the heat. That’s called carryover cooking — one reason allowing a steak to rest is an important part of the process.
