When I was getting my momma ready to leave Velchoff's last night, she had been helping wrap silverware because we were busy. Thanks Momma, it was 10 pm. She said, 'I think I'm finished at 86 years old helping, and I'm loving her time at Velchoff's.' She said, as she was getting off the stool, 'I love this place. Everyone is so happy - the customers and staff are all so happy. Please keep Velchoff's going until I die, then you can sell it.' Ha ha. So many great memories for my mom and dad seeing downtown Palatka come to life again. When we started in 2020, my hope was to create a destination where people could gather and feel better when they left. It's working if my momma is feeling this way. Thanks to Velchoff's chefs and our amazing staff for giving all they have to make Velchoff's Corner a dream come true. I must say it's the hardest thing I've ever done, but my momma is happy, so everything will be okay. Staying strong. Velchoffs Chefs
