From all of us at L & T Bar-B-Q, thank you to everyone who came out this weekend! We’re grateful for your support as we settle into our second week as a restaurant.

We take pride in preparing our food from scratch, not from cans, and we put time, care, and heart into what we serve. We want every guest to enjoy a meal that reflects that effort.

We read every comment and take your feedback to heart. We’re listening, learning, and making improvements because we want every guest to enjoy their meal and feel welcome.

If something isn’t right during your visit, please let one of the owners know so we have an opportunity to make it right. We’ve already addressed concerns brought to our attention this weekend, and we’ll continue working hard to provide the food and service you deserve.

We understand that tastes and expectations differ, and we welcome honest feedback. We also kindly ask that concerns be shared respectfully, without profanity or hurtful language toward our staff or other guests. We want our restaurant to be a comfortable, welcoming place for everyone.

We at L & T Bar-B-Q cannot express just how thankful and blessed we are for each and every one of our customers. Because of your incredible support, we are officially SOLD OUT for the weekend! 🔥🍖

To everyone who stopped by, placed an order, shared our name, or supported us in any way, we are forever grateful. It is truly a blessing to have the opportunity to serve good food to the people in our community.

We at L & T Bar-B-Q are still trying to find the words for these past two days. Humbled, grateful, and in awe come close. Thank you to every person who showed up for the soft opening of our new restaurant. You filled our hearts.

Some of you have been with us since we started in the Family Dollar parking lot. You followed us to the BBQ shack on Henderson, and now you’ve joined us for this new adventure. Seeing your familiar faces means more than we can say. To everyone who stopped by for the first time, thank you for giving us a chance. We loved meeting you, talking with you, and sharing our food with you.

We love what we do, and we put our hearts into every meal. We had a few hiccups this weekend, and we appreciate your patience and kindness as we learn and grow. We’ll keep working to make each visit better.

Grace, Jade, and Jesus: we could not have done this without you. Thank you for your hard work, your care, and everything you gave to help us open our doors.

We’ll be adding some new things, so stay tuned! We’ll share updates here as they come, and we hope to see everyone again this weekend.

Join us for our soft opening this weekend at 200 Commerce St, on the corner of 2nd St and Commerce St. Dine in or grab your food to go—whichever you prefer!

We’ve added a few new items to the menu, so come see what’s cooking. The pits will be going, and we can’t wait to serve you!

First and foremost, we have to give ALL the GLORY, HONOR, and PRAISE to GOD! 🙏❤️

Without His grace, His favor, His strength, and His perfect timing, none of this would be possible.

There are moments in life when you stop, look around, and realize just how faithful God has been. This is one of those moments for us.
Luis and I have dreamed, prayed, worked, sacrificed, cried, laughed, worried, and prayed some more over this BBQ business. 🔥❤️

There have been long days, late nights, tired feet, stressful moments, and times when we wondered how everything was going to come together. But through every obstacle, God kept making a way.
When we didn't have all the answers, He provided.
When we were tired, He gave us strength.
When we needed help, He placed the right people in our path.
And when the road felt long, He reminded us why we started.

Today, our hearts are absolutely overflowing with gratitude because WE PASSED BOTH OUR COUNTY AND CITY INSPECTIONS! 🙌🙏🔥
WE DID IT!!! But the truth is, we didn't do this alone.

To our family, especially Joel and Lisa, your love, sacrifice, and hard work have meant more to us than words could ever express. You worked tirelessly beside us, giving your time, energy, encouragement, and helping hands when we needed them most. This dream has your fingerprints all over it, too. ❤️

To Mrs. Linda and DC, God knew exactly who we needed in our path. Your kindness, encouragement, support, and willingness to help have touched our hearts deeply. You are a beautiful reminder that God places special people in our lives at exactly the right time. ❤️🙏
And to our family, friends, and wonderful Palacios community, every prayer, encouraging word, helping hand, and act of kindness has meant so much to us. You believed in our dream, supported us, and helped us keep moving forward.

This journey has reminded us of something beautiful: God doesn't always send His blessings wrapped in a bow. Sometimes He sends them through PEOPLE. Through family. Through friends who become family. Through neighbors. Through kindhearted people who simply choose to show up and help.
And Lord knows, we have been blessed with some amazing people.

This isn't just about BBQ.
It's about FAITH.
It's about FAMILY.
It's about FRIENDSHIP.
It's about COMMUNITY.
It's about HARD WORK.
And it's about never giving up on the dream God placed in your heart.

We're just two people with a dream, a whole lot of faith, a love for good BBQ, and an incredible circle of people standing beside us. ❤️🔥

And now, what once felt like a distant dream is becoming REAL.
We are humbled.
We are grateful.
We are emotional.
We are excited.
And above everything else, WE ARE BLESSED.

As we step into this next chapter, our prayer is that God continues to guide every decision, bless the work of our hands, protect the people we love, and use this business for something bigger than ourselves.

We pray that everyone who comes to our table feels welcomed, appreciated, and loved — because for us, BBQ isn't just about the food. It's about bringing people together. ❤️🔥

❤️ A Quick Update from L & T Bar-B-Q ❤️

We wanted to give everyone a quick update on what’s been going on with L & T Bar-B-Q!

We had hoped to be open this Labor Day weekend, but it looks like it may be a couple more weeks before we’re ready to open our doors. While we’re excited and anxious to get started, we want to take the time to make sure everything is just right.

We are working very hard to create a restaurant that we can be proud of and that will be amazing for the Palacios community and everyone who comes to visit. We truly want L & T Bar-B-Q to be a place where everyone feels welcome and appreciated.

There are so many wonderful individuals in our community who have helped make this dream possible. You each know who you are, and we are so incredibly thankful for you! ❤️

Most importantly, we want to give all glory and praise to our Heavenly Father, who has placed the right people in our lives and opened doors to help make all of this possible. We are truly blessed beyond words.

As soon as we have our official opening date, I promise we will let each of you know! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to get everything ready.

A New Chapter for L & T Bar-B-Q ❤️

We wanted to take a moment to give all of our wonderful customers and friends a quick update on what’s been happening at L & T Bar-B-Q!

We haven’t gone anywhere, we’re simply growing and upgrading our little business! We are working hard to transform the inside of what many of you will remember as the old VFW Hall at 200 Commerce St. in Palacios.

Our goal is to create a place where everyone can come in, sit down, enjoy a good meal, or grab some delicious Bar-B-Q to carry out. We are excited to announce that our projected opening date is the first part of September! 🙏❤️

This opportunity is something we truly prayed for, and we believe God opened this door for us. We are so thankful for a very precious lady and for the many members of our community who have helped make this next chapter possible.

To everyone who has stopped by to check on us, asked when we will be opening, or simply offered a kind word and well wishes, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Your encouragement means more to us than you know.

For those who may be new to L & T Bar-B-Q, we serve homestyle Bar-B-Q, fresh off the pit, homemade sides, and homemade desserts. ❤️

And don’t forget, we are still catering! If you have a wedding, family reunion, birthday, church gathering, or any other special event coming up, we would love the opportunity to serve you and your family.

Four years ago, Luis and I stepped out in FAITH and began selling our Bar-B-Q in the parking lot at Family Dollar. From there, God allowed us to move into our little 12x24 building on Henderson, across from the high school parking lot. Now, He has opened another door for us, and we are so grateful for where this journey has brought us.

We truly love what we do. There is nothing better than seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces and knowing that we’ve served them a meal they enjoyed. Our desire is simple: to serve the best food we possibly can and to serve our community with love.

Most of all, we want the Palacios community to know that we have not forgotten where we came from or the people who helped us along the way. Every customer, every kind word, every prayer, and every helping hand has played a part in getting us here.
