In 1973 Mama’s Fish House was born – Maui’s first fresh fish restaurant. Nestled in a beautiful coconut grove on a secluded white sand beach, this converted beach house restaurant is a memory of old Polynesia on Maui’s North Shore. Everyday we serve outstanding fresh catch lunches and dinners, with light fare through the afternoons in our elegant bar & lounge. All of our fish is locally caught in Hawaiian waters. Our menus are printed twice daily to credit the local fishermen.

The original Mama’s sign is still right here on the property, but the wooden path is no longer. Who remembers these boardwalk days?

Today we’re cruising back through some more Mama’s history. Before the Mama’s Boat, there were the classic Mama’s Vans. Right off Hana Highway we had these beautiful signs on wheels.

Years of ocean air may have taken them, but the memories still ride on. Anyone else remember spotting these back in the day?
