I am a wife, mom, and former teacher in Santa Rosa County. I have loved making and decorating cakes for years and really began to get serious about it when my oldest son turned one. I wanted to make his first birthday cake and began to learn about decorating cakes. So for the last eight years I have tried to learn as much as I could about designing and decorating cakes. While discussing starting m

y own business and possible name for it with my family, my oldest son, said, "How about my momma bakes cakes?" So that's how it started. God saw fit that the state of Florida would pass a new law to allow home baking businesses through the Cottage Food Law and the day before my birthday in 2011, our governor signed it into action. Please let me know if you are ever in need of a special cake for an occasion.

What do we think of a cookie and cupcake sale tomorrow? Thinking of chocolate chip, peanut butter, and cookies-and-cream cookies along with white almond, chocolate, and strawberry cupcakes (probably sticking with minis). Let me know if this sounds good to you. I am hoping to have everything ready and posted around midday tomorrow, just in time for your long weekend.
