Meet Margarita the Mantis. 🌿

My newest patio buddy decided to hang out on my shoulder for a while before posing for a few photos.

"Margarita" is a Carolina mantis nymph, one of nature's best little patio managers. These incredible insects help keep things balanced by dining on flies, mosquitoes, and other obnoxious bugs that would rather bother you than become dinner.

To us, they're a reminder that a healthy patio isn't just about good food and cold drinks—it's about a living ecosystem where everything has its place.

If you're lucky, Margarita might even stop by to say hello while you're enjoying a meal on the patio.

Saturday nights are made for this.

The patio has been absolutely beautiful the last few evenings, and this weekend we're adding the perfect soundtrack.

Join us this Saturday from 6:00–9:00 PM as The Coots take over the Pontoon Stage with a mix of classic rock, soulful rock, and a little country thrown in for good measure. These local legends know how to keep the music flowing and the good times rolling.

Sundays deserve more than a bowl of cereal.

This week's breakfast special is our new Southwest Breakfast Frittata.

Made with eggs, breakfast sausage, smoked ham, roasted potatoes, peppers, onions, fresh spinach, Monterey Jack cheese, topped with avocado, green onions, and our house creme fraiche. Served alongside crispy breakfast potatoes.

Of course, if you're craving one of our favorites, we'll also have our Monte Cristo, Breakfast Skillets, pancakes, burritos, and more.

Breakfast is served every Sunday from 9 AM to 11 AM.

Well... WOWZA.

We honestly had no idea so many of you were craving Fish N' Chips. We sold out before 7:00 tonight, and most of those baskets never even made it to a table—they were headed home with you.

We were especially proud of this one. From the ⭐ Estrella Jalisco beer batter to the house-made chipotle tartar with fresh dill from the garden, this wasn't something we pulled out of a freezer. It was made from scratch because we thought it deserved that extra care.

Seeing so many of you show up to enjoy it reminds us why we put that kind of love into what comes out of our kitchen.

So, for everyone who missed it... don't worry. Fish N' Chips will be making another appearance.

And next Friday? We're thinking pan-fried fish tacos.

It's Friday, and it just felt like the menu needed some fish.

So we did it the Lago way.

Three pieces of crispy beer-battered fish, fresh-cut fries, a lemon wedge, and our house-made chipotle tartar sauce finished with fresh dill from the garden.

⭐ Estrella Jalisco beer gives the batter a light, crisp crunch, while the smoky chipotle tartar brings just enough kick to keep things interesting.

This Saturday, The Nic Olas Band takes the pontoon stage from 6:00–9:00 PM, bringing a mix of classic rock, blues, country, and familiar favorites that'll have you singing along before the sun goes down.

No dishes. No cleanup. No regrets (well… fewer of them).

Bring the family down to Lago Vista this Sunday from 9am–11am for a hot breakfast and a slow reset before the weekend slips away.

Tonight at Lago Vista Grill it’s Stars, Stripes & Urban Safari bringing the beach party vibes to Perry Lake from 6–9pm. The stage is set, the jello shots are stacked, the bacon-wrapped dogs are hot, and the drinks are cold.

And when the music winds down, if the night’s still alive, bring your fireworks and head to Main Street to catch the Legion fireworks show with us.

We’re here to celebrate, weather be damned.
Come raise a glass, make some noise, and let’s make this Independence Day weekend one worth remembering. 🇺🇸🔥🌭🍹
