GODS PLAN

We had the honor to once again feed and send off the Dallas Cowboys back to Texas with one last meal in Oxnard yesterday after their scrimmage against the Saints.

God is good all glory to him and Jesus Christ for giving us the opportunities of a lifetime like this.

Dak took those 2 plushies home for his daughters, Brandon Aubrey took one as well as you can see, he put it in his hoodie 😂😭.

Shavon Revel jr. One of the nicest human beings we’ve met, And reminded us, it’s always God’s plan.

The Jones family loved the Gordos hats we had available and they took a couple.

The chicken plushies have new homes in Texas, Florida, and everywhere else our guests are taking them back home to.

Much love to the whole Dallas Cowboys organization once again. Always make us feel like home. From the staff to the players.

And finally thank you guys for supporting us and letting us represent all you guys and the city of Oxnard and the 805 everywhere we go.

Growing up with Family Guy, Peter Griffin’s childlike curiosity, carefree attitude, and unforgettable sense of humor became a small part of who we are at Gordo’s Hot Chicken in Oxnard, California. Even now in our mid-to-late 20s, we still quote him daily and laugh at the same ridiculous moments we did as kids.

That shared nostalgia has helped shape the fun, laid-back culture behind our restaurant. Peter reminds us not to take life too seriously, even while working hard to build something meaningful. His goofy optimism keeps us laughing through the busiest days and the toughest shifts. In a weird way, a cartoon character helped create the brotherhood that keeps Gordo’s Hot Chicken feeling like home
