John and I had a great visit yesterday at The Red Swing’s soft opening in the former Lizzie’s Diner location!!!! They’ve given it a wonderful facelift!! It’s so warm and inviting!! Tomorrow, Monday, February 2nd, is their opening day!! Please give them a visit and please support your local coffee shops!!!!

I can’t say enough about what supporting local restaurants has meant to me!!! Please remember to support our local coffee shops too. I got Red Swing coffees and food for my staff the other day, and everything was DELICIOUS and the service was great!! I am sad to end my business and I will so miss all of my customers, but I am proud to be selling to Brandon and Brittney.

Red Swing Coffee Expands to the East Side, Here’s What to Expect

I had a chance to speak with Red Swing Coffee, who recently officially announced their move to the Lizzie’s Diner spot on the east side, and after chatting with the folks behind the bar, I can tell you this: they’re not just bringing coffee, they’re bringing an even bigger vision.

If you know Red Swing, you know coffee has always been their heartbeat. Every cup is made with care, and it shows. The food has often been thought of as a “bonus,” but trust me they take that bonus seriously. And with the new eastside space, they’re ready to turn that side of things up a notch.

The bigger kitchen opens the door for more scratch-made pastries and new menu items, plus the ability to handle bulk orders for those of us who want to bring a little Red Swing to family gatherings or office mornings. Almost all of their syrups (95% to be exact) are already made in-house, and they’re aiming to hit 100%. That kind of attention to detail makes a difference, and it’s part of why their lattes taste so good.

The other big change? Convenience. Downtown has always been charming, but let’s be honest — the parking can be a headache, and the small lobby often makes busy times feel tight. This new location fixes all of that: more seating, a larger kitchen, its own parking lot, and even a pickup window for quick to-go orders.

Now, there’s been some chatter about whether the downtown shop might relocate to Breckinridge. From what I gathered, that’s not set in stone yet it’s more of a “maybe, if it makes sense” scenario. For now, what’s certain is that Red Swing is excited about what’s ahead, and they’re focused on growing in a way that serves their community best.

Personally, I’m excited to see how their bakery program evolves. Red Swing has always nailed the coffee game, but this expansion feels like a chance for them to show off what they can really do in the kitchen, too.

So yes food is very much still on the menu, and if anything, it’s about to get better. The east side just scored big.
