The Fourth of July holiday weekend was a bit crazy this year. The Gold Mountain Fire loomed over our county but we all did what we could to enjoy the weekend. Thanks to Hami and Pat for hiking this weekend. The flowers were amazing and a perfect distraction from the destruction happening below.
The Gold Mountain Fire is now 3% contained. It is a start. Thanks to all the people keeping us safe out there. Let’s dance for some rain this week!!!

I would say that the 2026 Fourth Of July Parade in Ouray had a solid vibe of fun. The brigade of kids outside of Ouray Mountain Sports was formidable this year. The coordination of attacks were brilliant.

Just before the fire broke out last week, BCBC Ice Cream was messing around the kitchen and two new flavors were created. Check out our two new flavors, Decaf Coffee and Caramel Peanut Butter. The 5oz cups are available at The Gnar and The Ridgway Mountain Market. 16oz cups are being made today and will be available on Friday.

Congratulations to the Brown Chicken Brown Cow Ice Cream Golf Team. They played really well and took fourth at the Ridgway Tournament last weekend. I think the BCBC logo shirts really stood out on the greens.

Ouray is the Outdoor Recreational Capital of Colorado. This is why Brown Chicken Brown Cow Ice Cream is located here. Enjoying a beautiful hike with a gorgeous friend before work is what fuels our days. Getting out and enjoying our backyard is crucial to our spirit.
