Being an owner/operated restaurant in a community the size of ours can be amazing!

Long time customers are like old friends, sometimes introducing us to their friends, making the circle even bigger.

Over the years, employees become family (sometimes literally as well as figuratively) and life's moments are shared by everyone.

The downside to this is sometimes what would be relatively isolated events become shared events, be it good or bad situations.

Next Saturday, May 16th, will be a core memory event for the 2026 graduating class of Ottawa High School.

With half of our staff "walking" and the rest "watching" we will be slightly short handed that evening. Rather than just trying to do our best with little help, we would rather just take an evening off and make the best of it for everyone...

CliffsNote edition: We will be closing at 4pm Saturday May 16th. Resume operations 11am Tuesday May 19th.

We're just going to leave this here.

You tried to enjoy lunch today before your patrol was called out.

As a group, you all said you would be back to eat and proceeded out the back door.

We watched you listen to shoulder radios for easily 5 min before heading south on foot to the situation.

Now hours later, reports are confusing and sometimes completely wrong. We have met many of your thin blue line brethren due to proximity alone. And will stand the watch for now.

We coined you for a reason. Our prayers are with you and your family. Now let's get back to it...

Not to be left out of the city wide "one man's trash is another's treasure" scavenger hunt, we have some useful junk that needs re-homed!

Various size food grade buckets and gallon glass jars. First come first served. Standard PV re-homing fees apply; you take a bucket, you MUST take a lid! We're tired of collecting lids :(

There is so much going on downtown today we're going to try and put it all in one place for you to digest:

Ottawa Main Street Association is kicking things off with the 17th Annual Corvette show, which runs from 9-3pm, 2nd through 4th Main street.

Gun Guys II is having an open house from 10-6pm featuring many drawings, meet and greet opportunities with many of the services provided, special sale prices and discounts throughout the day.

Ronald’s will be set up in front of Not Lost Brewing from 2-8pm featuring "The Villager". If you've never tried (our) pizza deep fried, you will soon find out what has been missing in life!

Front door access today will be hit and miss, but the weather's great so a little walk isn't so bad. Common Consumption Area (CCA) is open, so grab a cold one from many of the participating establishments and come see what's going on today...

We've had more than one inquiry today about abbreviated hours due to weather.

Seeing as our driver is rolling on 32's and the flood of '51 didn't even reach out door step, as long as we have power we'll be cooking AND as long as the sirens are off we'll be delivering.

Stay safe out there and remember to order accordingly, left-overs won't last long in the dark...

Over the years we know many have traversed this One Lane - One Way alley to pay us a visit.

Due to needed repairs to our neighboring building, the City has blocked off a section of the alley during the 3 month construction phase. Thus creating the temporary "Didde Office Supply - Pizza Village" cul-de-sac accessible through the now One Lane - TWO WAY entrance/exit.

Please exercise extreme caution if traveling through it, and as it is in any gated community, parking will be scarce if all of the home owners are in...

Stand by for an exciting announcement!

We are open SATURDAYS!

Notice the absence of "now" there, well that's because we've been doing Saturday's for over 60 years now, but lately they've been more "miss" than 'hit"...

So we figured might as well spruce up a slow news hump day and remind everyone of our weekend offerings:

Saturday hours, open 11am to 9pm
Lunch buffet (yep, each of the 5 days a week we're here) 11:30 am to 1:30pm
Lunch delivery 11am to 2pm
Dinner delivery starts at 5pm and runs until close

AND if last weekend was any indicator of how the "new year - new me" trend is faring, the gym next door was all but empty most of the day, so we even had curb side parking OUT FRONT!!!

We hope to see you soon, heck you might even meet a few new faces seeing as Saturday is our main training day as well...

It has come to our attention that multiple cell carriers are down in our area, including T-Mobile which is what we use for credit card payments on deliveries.

We are business as usual at the shop, but will have to go old school if paying with a card for deliveries, we'll simply take payment over the phone when the order is placed.

Not really sure who will see this, but if all else fails, come on in...
