The Village of Oswego and the Economic Development Commission are proud to recognize Oswego Family Restaurant as the Oswego Economic Development Commission's Business of the Month for September 2026.

Located at 69 Main Street in downtown Oswego's historic Knapp Building, Oswego Family Restaurant is an old-fashioned-style diner serving classic American fare for breakfast and lunch. With a wide variety of menu offerings, including homemade chocolate cake and triple-berry French toast, the restaurant has been a beloved part of the Oswego community for 30 years.

Throughout its three decades in business, Oswego Family Restaurant has remained committed to supporting local organizations and residents. The restaurant has been a recurring donor to organizations and causes, including the Oswegoland Senior and Community Center.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Oswego Family Restaurant demonstrated its dedication to the community by providing free daily meals to local residents and community members who were out of work. The restaurant also prioritized its employees, retaining 95% of its staff and allocating all profits earned during the shutdown back to its employees.

Owned by Ruben Zaca and his family, Oswego Family Restaurant continues to serve as a longstanding gathering place in downtown Oswego.

We congratulate Oswego Family Restaurant on being selected as the September 2026 Business of the Month and thank them for their 30 years of service, generosity and continued commitment to the Oswego community.
