Welcome to 1/2 C**k Tuesd……..f**k…….not this week!! Welcome to championship Tuesday……we are giving you a break from our 1/2 C**k, and we are giving you the horse c**k this week!! I mean, we are giving you the Bronco Burger, our first ever special burger, the OG.

After yesterday’s s**tshow, the LeC**t has broken our all-time single-day special record, Lobster Roll included. We sold 98 Lec**ts yesterday!!! We are practically a French Bistro……..And that guy Don says I shouldn’t advertise with C**t…….

Anyway, back to the horse c**k……

The Bronco Burger……our 1/3 pound burger topped with Cheddar cheese, bacon, onion rings and Bob's Backyard BBQ tossed in our house bbq…….yes…..served with French fries. You can make it a Bucking Bronco by adding jalapeños.

This burger is so good, you will want to play a role in Brokeback mountain 2………..

Welcome to championship Monday, the start of the most specials we have ever had in a week, and all of the top favorites. If there is ever a reason to be gluttonous and eat at Pete’s Garage Bar every day, this is the week.
After a weekend of getting pummeled at the garage, the Brewers losing a series against the s**tty Reds, the badgers playing like the normal Fickell-led badgers, some guy named Don not appreciating me using the word C**t in my advertising and us winning some burger award or something, we are back to a Monday special, a Labor Day edition.

I was debating what burger to have to start out the week of best burger specials, and then my friend Frank called me over the weekend. Frank is a Cubs fan, and anyone who follows us, knows how we feel about the Cubs. Frank was also in Paris when he called me to brag about the Cubs gaining one game in the standings……I called him a c**t and then I immediately felt terrible because he was on vacation in France, and he says I never care about where he is, so I told him that I’m sorry and that I was insensitive…….and then I called him a LeC**t……….and my decision on which burger to start with, was an easy one, after that interaction………

So, today, on the Day of Labor, Andrew and I present to you the best selling burger special to date, the LeC**t……..yeah, it’s a French Onion Burger…….two smash patties topped with provolone, cooked onions and French onion mayo on a bun topped with flame-melted provolone and thyme……served with Au Ju and French fries………

This burger is so good, it will make you want to French Kiss your sister……..

Also, I hope Don knows I took his advice to heart, and classed it up my advertising by using a foreign C**t…….

I hope you haven’t done your meal-prep yet for the week……the next 6 days, one for each victory in the Wonderfully Wisconsin Burger bracket, will each have one of our best selling burger specials……yeah, I’m even making soup this early in the year……we will let our burgers do the commentating for our championship this week…….

Monday (Labor Day): The LeC**t
Tuesday: The Bronco
Wednesday: The Pete’s-a-Burger
Thursday: The Grilled Cheesus Christ and homemade tomato Basil soup
Friday: The BrakeFast Burger
Saturday: The D**g Feng Burger

Happy championship Sunday!! We won the Best Burger bracket (I will write about that later).

Today, we are cancelling $5 burger Sunday…….and we are replacing it BOGO Burger Sunday, this week……you can even BOGO the doubles…….and the toppings, if they are the exact same……

One burger, $9. Two burgers, $9. You get the drift!

And yes, we are open normal hours tomorrow. We will Labor for you, 11am-2am……and as always, we are still fu***ng cooking until bar time!

We will take a short break from pimping votes (not a brake, all gas, just a break), to wish this geezer a Happy 92nd Birthday!!

Jack is the president at EAA (yeah, I don’t know why he’s still working at his age, but he must have made some poor decisions in his adulthood). Speaking of poor decisions, he loves Pete’s. He is also one of the reasons we were invited to be part of AirVenture (Butch likes to take credit, but we all know who was working the strings). He is why there is Pete’s West, for 11 days a year.

Jack tells people we are best friends, but I would say we are acquaintances. He likes to say he knows the owner, but half the time I don’t know if he knows where he is.

I love you, Jack. Thank you for always being a grandfather-figure to me and showing me what not to do.

Happy Birthday, Jack!! Don’t forget to come in and get $.25 off your second drink today……

On the eve of the Wonderfully Wisconsin best burger bracket final, it’s time to get our s**t together and get ready to rumble. We may have ousted The Dump in the semifinals, but that doesn’t mean s**t in the Finals. Yeah, Cedar Lodge, in Ladysmith Wisconsin, may represent small town USA but they carry a great reputation for amazing burgers (and food in general), so we cannot take them lightly……..Cedar Lodge may a Ladysmith in the streets, but it also may be Pete’s Garage Bar in the sheets…….we don’t know, so starting at 6am, it needs to be all gas no brake until the final buzzer at 8pm………

We may be the loudest bar in the competition, but I’m pretty sure our entire bar can fit into Cedar Lodge’s kitchen. Our “kitchen” area can fit into most Dive-bar bathrooms. Our best “cook’s” highest level of culinary training is watching the Food Network. Our flat-top is 30” wide. We are open 361 days per year, until bar time, and yeah, we are still fu***ng cooking…..We have 8 bartenders/cooks, including me…….our staff is our super-power. And, we serve a God damn good mediocre burger……with a hint of sarcasm…….and a pinch of Go F**k Yourself…..and a sliver of Thanks For Coming…….

If we are the favorite, let’s not be Michigan against Appalachian State…..if they are the favorite, let us be NC State against the Phi Slamma Jamma……..and as Jimmy Valvano said, “Don’t give up…..Don’t ever give up.”

If you love our burgers, vote for us. If you love Cedar Lodge’s burgers, vote for them. Whichever one you vote for, don’t f**k it up. Make your vote actually count!! Let’s have some fu***ng fun…..

Wow. Just F**king wow. If I paid attention to Pete’s Garage Bar as much as I did to our Final 4 matchup today, we could probably be profitable.
Congratulations to The Dump for fighting the burger fight (and on their Wisconsin Beef Council victory and 52 years of Burger making)…..it was the battle everyone thought it was going to be…..and more……

It’s not over yet, we have one more battle in the Finals, on Saturday, but we will worry about that hurdle when we get there……

What a ride this bracket has been. On our way to the finals, we have beat out 5 burger joints with a combined 321+ years of operation!!! Let’s put that into perspective……America is 250 years old…….the total years of operations would have begun before the Forefathers’ grandfathers (the Sixfathers) were even thinking about banging the Forefathers’ grandmothers (they didn’t get cool names back then, they weren’t even allowed to vote…….before you get all worked up, it’s not sexist, America didn’t exist…..no one got to vote!!)…….and, it was 71 years before the Forefathers banged the Foremothers to produce Baby America!!

Let’s get to the logistics…..does making it to the Finals, make us one of the top two burgers in the state? F**k yeah it does……in this bracket!! In reality, no. This is a voting contest (and it’s fu***ng fun and is great for small businesses to get notoriety. Thank you Wonderfully Wisconsin for putting in the work to create this contest).

Burgers are like Bloody Mary’s. Everyone likes what they like. To one person, they think we have the best burger. To another, it may be dogs**t. Like they say, one man’s best burger ever is another man’s Big Mac.

Here’s a little known fact about Pete’s……I never, and I mean fu***ng never, in my wildest dreams ever thought that one day, someone would think that we have the best burger they ever had……much less, the best burger in Wisconsin…..much less, the best burger in Winnebago County…..much less, the best burger in Oshkosh…..much less, the best burger on Oregon Street……much less, the best burger in the 1500 block of Oregon Street!! So, the fact that we are known for our burgers, is a very humbling and astonishing accomplishment! We’ve had an unbelievable 21 year run……..

Actually, this whole post should have just been about our cult followers…….this burger bracket, the best dive bar in America bracket, Wisco Dive Bars Dive bar of the Year, the success of Pete’s, the great times, the charities…..literally everything that relates to Pete’s, is because of you all. Thank you for your loyalty. Thank you for following all the dumb s**t we do. Thank you for the votes. Also, thank you to the local businesses who shared and voted for us…….Seriously, fu***ng thank you everyone.

If we win on Saturday, it’s your trophy. No, you can’t take it home. No, you can’t touch it. If we lose, it’s all your fu***ng fault too!!
