Family, Friends and Neighbors!! Does anyone know this dog that was found in the neighborhood???
WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THIS DOG.
This guy was found on Zoar Road, and we have not received a single message about him.
Honestly, that is heartbreaking because this poor guy is extremely stressed and frightened.
He has been with us for a week now. He is getting good meals every day, LOTS of treats, a nice bed, and plenty of patience, but he is still struggling.
To give you an idea of just how scared he is:
We CANNOT touch him.
We CANNOT put a collar or leash on him.
We CANNOT safely check him for a microchip.
We CANNOT vaccinate him at this time.
We cannot even look him directly in the eyes for more than about 5 seconds without seeing his fear increase.
Right now, we are trying to keep his fear as low as possible. We are NOT pushing his limits because we do not want to make his fear worse. With his vaccination history completely unknown, we also have to be cautious about putting him through unnecessary handling until we can safely do so.
Yesterday, we finally saw a little breakthrough.
We introduced him to a young, friendly dog, and something seemed to click. For the first time, we saw a little bit of that stress start to fade. It was a small step, but for him, it was a BIG deal.
He is slowly getting better each day... very slowly.
We are giving him the time, patience, and space he needs, but we still don't know anything about him.
Where did he come from?
Does someone know him?
Does he have a family looking for him?
Has anyone seen him before?
WE NEED INFORMATION ABOUT THIS DOG.
Even the smallest piece of information could help us understand him and figure out what he needs.
If you recognize him or know anything about him, PLEASE reach out to us. He needs someone to speak up for him.
PLEASE SHARE!
Someone out there may know this dog. We just need to find them.
