Hi all!
With snow on the ground here it feels like coffee (or tea) weather more than ever. We have a couple of great options to pick up in our shop either as whole bean or ground. We also love serving drinks to any and all who drop by. Best bet is to send a message to Brandon at (605) 412-1013 if you are wanting a drink and we will do our best to have someone meet you at the roasterie. Thanks for any and all interest in what we are doing here in Osceola! Have a great week.

It's a cheery January day here in Osceola.
I just finished a pour over coffee of our newest arrival, Guatemala San Vincente which reminded me I should mention it here and let everyone know it is available. This is a mild offering with notes of dark chocolate and brown sugar that keep the cup tasting sweet all the way through. Check it out at aerisroasting.com if you are interested.

p.s. we also have redesigned our labels (again!) for the new year as the profile picture attests to.

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!

We haven't posted for more than a year on here but we are still roasting and drinking coffee.

Just a short update, we got an Ethiopian Guji in this past week that has some great potential. Notes of blueberry, honey and Concord grape. Supposedly the blueberry doesn't come out as strong as it has in previous years but we are going to try to get a profile on this coffee and it will be offered in the near future.

We also still have some great natural Brazil as well as our tried and true, Peru.

Hello

We have new coffees arriving today! (That is, if the hurricanes don't get in the way) There are some new and exciting as well as bringing back a previous offering. The new ones are a triple A Malawi and a Yemen Mocca which is supposed to be quite sweet in the cup. Also we are bringing back a Costa Rica which will most likely be a bit fruity because of the natural processing technique it underwent in the country. Last but not least we have a new Ethiopia which is great to receive as we roasted the very last of our Ethiopia this morning!

We will either post a new write-up when we roast a couple batches and put all the coffee info here or else just update the website with this information so be sure to check both places!

Thank you from the guys @ Aeris

Good day to you all,

An update on our coffee offerings.

We are set to receive a couple bags of Guatemala either by the end of the week or early next week. It is a 100% red bourbon varietal that has characteristics of sweetness and complexity. This is an offering that we are quite excited about because it is a 'direct trade' deal we are working to cultivate. They ship directly from their farm to our roasterie via Jeep, then air, and finally a truck from Chicago O'Hare to our door. The green coffee is more expensive than any Guatemalan we have had in the past but the potential we seen in the sample was enough to convince us it would be worth it. We will try to have this available by end of week, next week.

Cupping notes are as follows: cocoa, cherry, caramel and a clean aftertaste

A quick update on the coffee:

We did in fact get the Brazil we spoke of earlier which it turns out is a peaberry. This is an intriguing coffee to me and I hope to try some more extensive brewing on it. The *tasting notes are tended towards fruit, berry and lemon with some candied pecan slipping thru the cracks that ease this offering more towards the sweeter side.
This is our cold brew offering but it has such great looking potential that we are offering it as a whole bean coffee to the populace.

Thank you for caring, Brandon @ Aerís
