It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of our beloved family restaurant at the end of this month, so we can spend more time and focus on our young family.

We have truly enjoyed serving this amazing community and hope to find someone who can continue this amazing venture.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to every single person who has walked through our doors, supported us, and became a part of our story. From our family to yours, thank you for all of the memories, laughter, and shared meals over the years. You have truly made this journey unforgettable.

🎄✨ Thank You for Supporting the Giving Tree! ✨🎄

This year, while decorating for the holidays, my kids had a wonderful idea: they wanted to create a Giving Tree to help families in need. They spent hours making signs and crafting toy tags with so much love and excitement—it was truly inspiring to see their hearts in action!

Thanks to the incredible support from our community, the Outpost Giving Tree was a huge success! Your generosity and kindness have brought so much joy to others this season, and it’s a beautiful reminder of the true meaning of the holidays.

Robert Popple drove his beloved classic car to grab breakfast every day at Flo's Diner in Canastota or stop by the local hotel. Most days, he could be found in his driveway working on the ivory 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 — tinkering with the engine or detailing the car.

On Tuesday, Popple died trying to protect his prized car, his friend said. The 82-year-old was killed after he was struck by storm debris and was found on the ground outside his home, wrapped in a tarp.

“There is no doubt in my mind that Bob was killed trying to protect that car," said Adam Cesario, a lifelong friend. "He was trying to stake a tarp around it to protect it from flying debris."
