Hi guys, as many of you already know,yesterday our "Tacos El Mariachi" food truck completely burnt down.
The fire department was on scene, and it has been determined the cause of the fire was more than likely a electrical shortcut failure.
It has been deemed a total loss.
We are absolutely devasted. All our hard work, the emotional connection we had,our life time savings we invested into this truck, all melted away in a matter of minutes.
All we have now are pictures and memories left of what we once very proudly called our first business.
Unfortunately, we did not have BUSINESS insurance.
There are many speculations being made online by some people, and i would like to clarify.
Tacos el mariachi, was not your typical traditional food truck. It was a utility trailer that had been CONVERTED into a food truck.
Therefore, only AUTO insurance would pick us up. I struggled to find a conventional business insurance that would even offer us insurance. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable when making decisions for my business, however I can't force insurance companies to pick us up with a converted food truck and break said policy.
I did what I could, with the resources i had and thought insurance for the trailer was better than no insurance.
Allstate (auto)is our insurance carrier. And since many people on our local pages are eager to ask about insurance, I can disclose my policy info privately to help keep them at ease.
To clarify, ONLY the utility trailer will be covered.
Not the contents.
The insurance will be covering whatever your typical 1998 utility trailer cost.
Not a food trailer.
Just a utility trailer.
Meaning all the expensive restaurant equipment, loss of wages, food, supplies, etc.. will NOT be covered.
It really frustrates me to see so many people assume without knowing.
My family and I are the type to help without judging when others are in need and to see all the negative comments has honestly shocked me.

Aside from that, I want to say thank you for everyones support my husband and I are amazed at how many people are reaching out to us during these tough times, sending prayers and positive vibes.
Knowing we have support from so many people in our oroville community, our costumers too, we see you !! We have read everyone's comments and it gets us very emotionally knowing there are still so much good people out there. It definitely changes my view on humanity.
We want you all to know that you all have made this process less difficult for us and want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
This is the second time we have had an obstacle come our way ever since we first opened, and we are 100% sure, we will overcome this especially with all the good vibes our community sends us when tragedy strikes us.
We are very grateful to have such an amazing community.
With that being said,we want to share what our plans are moving forward.
We have a very strong sentimental connection with our food truck and want Tacos El mariachi, to come back!!
Our main goal right now is to purchase a replacement for our food truck, as soon as we possibly can.
Once we can purchase a new truck, we will be at the same location.
We're hoping with the insurance company replacing the cost of the trailer, and with the help of the community donating to our go fund me to be be able to find a replacement and park at the same location.

We do have a new food truck , which opened up 1 day prior to the fire.
It is called "Sazon A La Mexicana". We offer the same menu as Tacos El Mariachi, however because we are also incorporating new menu items we changed the name to this food truck.
But, it is the same owners and same cooks so if you are looking to order your favorites in the meantime come stop by & support us !!
Sazon a la mexicana is located at 2545 Feather River Blvd. We are right next to McDonald's, past time car wash, in the same parking lot as The tire Expert.

This truck is still fairly new, today is day 3 that we have been open. Therefore, like any other new business it will take some time for us to build a good amount of clientele like we had at Tacos El mariachi. So far we are fairly slow at the new food truck, making it very hard for us now that our main income is no longer here.
