Deposit: half of total payment is due at time of booking (non-refundable)
Remainder of payment is due when formatting work begins. Files will be sent once full payment is received.
~If you are unable to make your scheduled date, please let me know as soon as possible (preferably at least three weeks prior) so I can re-schedule you with the new date needed and also open up the date to another author. Turnaround time is usually 1-3 days

Formatting includes:
Linked table of contents in eBooks
Vendor specific links/files if requested
Up to 10 proofing errors/typos for free, which will be done when my schedule allows

Graphics are licensed up to 500000 print copies. Checklist of what to send:

1) Manuscript – Word .doc or .docx
*final edits and proofreads completed
These can be in manuscript file or in separate file(s):
• Copyright info: any special wording you want, list of contributors like the editor, cover designer, cover model(s), formatter (with their websites). The formatting information will be added to the list here or on the page where you want these listed unless otherwise requested.
• Dedication, Acknowledgments and Author bio (and photo if wanted)
~Please mark scene breaks with *** and mark any other sections that require special formatting (like notes, other fonts) with *. No need to mark italics or bold
2) Cover and names of fonts used (for title and author name) only if ordering custom
3) If ordering paperback file, trim size and ISBNs

These documents should be sent by 7 am EST on your scheduled date. Please, let me know if your file is delayed and when I can expect it. Please note: on or after your release day, the book may be shared on this page (with blurb, buy link, and sample of images from book), added to the Pinterest page (links from Amazon), and images added to the gallery on the website, unless otherwise requested not to be included. Happy Monday!

A few things that would help me be more efficient making the pretty books:

Schedule ahead with me…and by ahead, I mean a couple of months. Prior to vacation, I was working 7 days a week. I am back to that & I really want to have one day off a week. So, if you think that I should have one day off…working on a book? Working with a cover designer? Me me me!!! I want to be included with the cool kids.

My turnaround time is 2–4 days. I know I usually get them done in 2, but that is not always possible. Especially if I am fitting the project in either due to it not being scheduled ahead or rescheduled. If you have a preorder planned, I need it at least 1 week before, more if you are wanting ARC reader input.

The manuscript you send: should be the final one, all editing and proofreading done. A few typos slip through, I get that. But editing changes and a lot of typos should be taken care of prior to me getting it. No images or comments in the doc, I have to remove them which slows me down. Hyperlinks should be done and linked to the words you want linked.

Gentle reminder: it's just me and I am only one person. I am trying really hard to get to everyone's updates and projects without saying no. I want to make all the pretty books but I also need to sleep and have time with my family. I really enjoyed my 2 weeks off, but I realized I need to make sure I have off a day during the week. In the upcoming weeks, I will be trying to figure out how I can that. If you have suggestions other than cloning myself, please let me know.

Still here? Wow, that was a long one.

My trip? Ireland was magical, the people were delightful and welcoming. We cannot wait to go back. London was busy and fabulous, so much to do. It was hot but we did the things we planned but need to return since there is more we want to do.

Side note: I injured my left hand on my trip causing bruising and swelling…I could move and bend my fingers but it hurt and still does a bit. Looks so much better though. But it causing me to slow down a bit and take breaks. Luckily it was my left hand and not my right one.

If you were following along, we went to Ireland for a week and then to London. And if you were watching the news, you know London was HOT. I live in Florida so the weather was similar to our summers but very little AC so it was a bit uncomfortable but we still had fabulous time.

My brother and his family arrived yesterday and will be here for this week. I will of course be maintaining my best ever status. I even had brownies baking for them when they got here.

Well, this is it! Off on our vacation tomorrow. A few things to finish up today and then it's packing and cleaning (I like to come home to a clean house.)

Since we are going to a different time zone, I am trying an app that is supposed to help with jet lag. This involves Mr Blake and I going to bed and getting up earlier progressively for a few days. Today, that meant 4 am and tomorrow 3am. Crossing fingers.

When I return, my schedule is pretty busy and I will be having houseguests that first week back. Some spots available in August and beyond.

Will be posting pics along the way so hope you will see them!

Can't believe it....been planning for this trip since January and we are now a week and a half away! All the things are booked and packing and getting on the flight is all that is left.

With that, I am furiously trying to get everything scheduled completed. So I will be unable to take on new projects or updates. The week I get back is already full so anything I get from now on will be done after that.
