The garden is an ecosystem!🌼🐍🐝🌿🐞

As a holistic garden, we stay away from using chemical pesticides and instead, let nature do what it does best. Every creature plays a role in keeping the garden healthy. The best way to care for a garden is to let the food chain do its thing! 🌱✨

Jerry, our resident garden snake, enjoying a light lizard lunch🦎

Jerry plays an important role of keeping pest populations in check and deterring rodents!🐭

Wasps are a beneficial insect! They protect the garden by snacking on harmful pests🐝

Harlequin bugs are sap-suckers, piercing plant tissue and creating holes in the leaves🌿

Unlucky onlookers may understand why they are commonly called “stink bugs” 💨😅

Aphids (aka plant lice) have taken over the conch pea’s leaves…

but they are no match for our ladybug friends, who are currently enjoying an aphid buffet 🍽️🐞

Every little creature plays a part — and so do we! 🧑🏻‍🌾🪏

Come join us in the garden! Attend one of our programs and experience this ecosystem for yourself.
