Okay, Orlando, we need to tell you about a spot we love. 🍦

You know how everything on our menu at The Kitty Beautiful can be made vegan? Well, our neighbors at Vegan Scoops Orlando are all about that life too, and they’re so close! They’re inside Market on South (2603 E South St), and everything they make is 100% vegan, dairy free, and gluten free. No peanuts, no artificial dyes, and even their cups and spoons are compostable. 🌱

Fun bonus: their sister company, A Lo Vegano, is now open in the same spot serving vegan Cuban food. So dinner with us, dessert with them, or the other way around. We won’t judge. 😉

It’s a family-owned, Hispanic-owned small business and the nicest kind of local. Go say hi and tell them we sent you! 💕

Happy 1st birthday, Bubbalicious and Chicklet! 🎂🧡

One year ago today, these two sisters were born into a colony living outdoors. Bubbalicious eventually wandered into a trap, and she has since decided it was the best decision she ever made. Chicklet followed her into a life of warm beds, full bowls, and people who love her.

They arrived at the cafe on May 27. That was 139 days ago, more than a third of their lives so far.

In that time they’ve watched a lot of their friends find homes. They’ve greeted hundreds of visitors, napped in every sunny spot in the lounge, and kept showing up every day as two of the sweetest, most easygoing girls we know. Bubbalicious loves warmth, food that just appears, and not having to worry about a thing. Chicklet is the kind of cat who settles into a new place and makes it feel like she’s always lived there.

They’ve been patient. Now we’d love for them to have the best birthday present a cat can get: a home of their own. They’re sisters but not bonded, so they can go home together or separately, whichever fits your family.

If you’ve been thinking about it, today would be a perfect day to come say happy birthday. 25 cats are here today, including Bongo.

Holly, Dolly, and Molly have arrived. 🖤🤍🧡

These three sisters were found as tiny kittens, left in a bag in the back of someone’s car. The rescue stepped in, and now they’re here at the cafe looking for homes.

Holly is a tuxedo girl and the shyest of the three. She likes to watch for a while before she says hello, but once she knows you she’s very sweet.

Dolly is also a tuxedo, and she’s the smallest of the three. She’s also the fiercest: confident, playful, and a big fan of other cats.

Molly is a dark tortie and the most outgoing. She loves wet food so much that she’ll eat everyone’s dinner if they don’t watch out.

They’re sisters but not a bonded trio, so they can each go to their own home. 25 cats are here today, including Bongo.

Meet Jagger. Also, say goodbye to Jagger. 🧡

This one-year-old came in Sunday night from the Eastbrook colony, the same one as our calico mother and daughter, Charmaine and Cecilia. He’s gentle, calm, gets along with cats and dogs, and lets absolutely everyone pick him up.

He was here for less than an hour before someone saw all of that and took him home. Adoption #1,230. We barely had time to learn his name.

Ceilly and Tony, the dynamic duo, are doing amazing in their forever home! 🖤🤍

Ceilly came to the café on 8/23/2022, and Tony joined on 9/20/2022. They were adopted together on 1/7/2023, and their family loves them to death! 😻

Here are some recent photos of these two living their best lives, then we ook back at some café-days photos. They were always up to something… 😉

Wilma found her people. 🧡

She was found wandering the streets of Kissimmee until someone kind made sure she got somewhere safe. She loved people from the start and warmed up fast, though she let us know she had opinions about sharing space with other cats. That’s fair. She spent 35 days here settling in on her own terms.

Today she went to a home where she is the only kitty, as she will prefer. Adoption #1,229.

Crackle found his forever home. 🧡

This little guy was found at a dump in Ocala with his siblings Snap and Pop and their mom, which is a rough way to start out. He came in gentle and a bit cautious, then spent 39 days here showing everyone that once he decides he likes you, he is a full-on pickup cat.

Today somebody picked him up and took him home. Adoption #1,228.

Thank you thank you thank you Ares, Loki and Rebecca for sending us and the kiddos the mother lode! We are talking about laundry detergent, pet wipes, Churu treats, and even a GeniKiss deodorizer spray! The kiddos tried out the treats and went wild (what does Churu put in their cat treats?!) and we have already used the GeniKiss on all the cat trees!

Stetson found his permanent people. 🧡

This grey and white gentleman was found in a Walmart parking lot behind a bank, which is not where most great stories begin. He spent 33 days here being exactly who he said he was: sweet, easygoing, a big fan of gentle pets, and an expert at finding the coziest tight spots in the building.

He had a home once before and knew how good that could feel. Now he has one again, and this time it’s for keeps. Adoption #1,227.

🚗 Parking downtown just changed, and Bongo is here to walk you through it.

As of October 1, 2026, the City of Orlando removed all parking meters in the downtown business district. Street parking is now paid only through the ParkMobile app. Our very distinguished house cat (tie and all) put together a quick guide so your next visit to The Kitty Beautiful is easy:

1️⃣ Download ParkMobile and set up your account.
2️⃣ Enter the zone number from the sign where the meters used to be. Near us on State Lane, it’s Zone 7103 or 7198, depending on which side of the street you park on.
3️⃣ At checkout, enter promo code PARKDTO for 2 hours of free parking. It’s good for up to 16 uses per ParkMobile account.

💲 Street parking is $2 per hour.
🕗 Payment is required 8am to 8pm.
☀️ Sundays are free.

Prefer a garage? The Jefferson Street garage and the Society Orlando garage are both a short walk from the cafe.

Park it, then come see us! The Kitty Beautiful is at 360 State Lane in Downtown Orlando, open Tuesday through Sunday. Reserve your cat time ahead of your visit, and Bongo will be waiting. 🐾

A big, purr-fect thank you to Sheila M. for sending over this incredible treat delivery! 🐱✨

As you can see, our inspector was on the scene immediately to review the good. It’s safe to say the Sheba Meaty Sticks and Quail Egg Yolks passed with flying colors. The cats are thoroughly spoiled, and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Journey is back. 🖤🤍

You might remember this black and white girl from South Carolina with the thumbs up spot on her face. She found a home last week, but the cats already living there were not ready to share their space with her. That’s no fault of hers. Sometimes the fit just isn’t right.

So she is back with us and ready to try again. She is sweet, she is young, and she is still giving the world a thumbs up. The right home is out there.

This ginger tabby boy came to us from a starving colony, took some time to trust the world again, and spent 41 days here quietly becoming more himself every single day. We knew the right patient home was out there for him. Today it showed up. Adoption #1,226.
