For the first time ever, reparations for the farmer. Forever.
For the first time ever, the REPchain is live.
Royalty-based repair, running through profit share in coffee. Every cup you buy sends a royalty back to the family that grew it. Not for one campaign. From now on, every cup, forever.
This has never been done. A supply chain where the producer holds a stake in the intellectual rights to art from their soil , not just the a foraging wage of harvest itself.
We turned it on this Juneteenth at the Anti-Gentrification Coffee Club in Memphis, and our first two families are live right now.
If cxffee is art, the farmers should be paid royalties. So here’s who gets paid when you order:
- Espresso drinks: the Dulcey family, Colombia
- Taste and See drip: a blend of the Dulcey and Kuria families
- Pour overs: brewed single from either family, same royalty on every cup
- Cold Brew: the Kuria family, Kenya
- Memphis Mont Blanc (Mr. Big): the Kuria family, Kenya
- Gold Brew, cans included: a 50/50 split between both families
- Retail bags: take either family’s coffee home
Every one of those pays a royalty back to Kenya and Colombia. You order, you watch the repair happen in real time.
Come see it for yourself. We’re at the club all Juneteenth weekend and live through the rest of the week. Pull up, order off the menu, and watch the royalties flow with us.
Can’t make it to Memphis? Shop the same products in the app. Buy for yourself, or pay a product forward so someone else can taste the chain.
Own a cafe? You can join the REPchain as a node. Become a point of repair and representation in the chain, and put these royalties in motion in your own city.
The chain is live. Come get in it.
