From our big tent days at the corner of 441 and Princeton, to parking lot pop-ups at the Leonard & Marjorie Williams YMCA, and now here at our Farm Campus, our market has grown so much over the past five years. 🌱

Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are new to our market community, thank you for being a part of the story. 💚

What an incredible way to start our new dining series.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the table and helped make the opening of Origin so memorable. And a special thank you to guest chef, Chef Kevin Fonzo and our series host, Chef Hari Pulapaka for setting the table for this first chapter and sharing their culinary roots with us, as well as Mike Garcia of Everoak Farm for joining us to celebrate regional ingredients.

Season II of Origin begins January-March, with reservations opening up soon. Stay close, stay tuned, and 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 to be the first to know when new dates drop (link in bio). 🔗

Join our Senior Culinary Director, Hari Pulapaka as he uses this week’s Fresh by 4Roots All Local CSA box to demonstrate 5 simple ways you can reduce food waste in your kitchen as we wrap up Food Waste Prevention Week. 🍳🥬

A few of Chef Hari’s tips:

1️⃣ Use more of each ingredient
Trim less, peel less, and let those edible parts add texture and fiber to your dishes.

2️⃣ Turn food scraps into your next broth
Save your vegetable trimmings and simmer them into a flavorful broth.

3️⃣ Save seeds and grow your next harvest
Save, dry and plant the seeds from your grocery hall to grow more of the ingredients you love.

4️⃣ Store food properly
The right storage can help fresh ingredients last longer and keep food from going to waste.

5️⃣ Practice FIFO
First in, first out. Use what went into your fridge first before reaching for newer ingredients.

Small changes in the kitchen can make a big difference for your food, your budget and the planet. 🌎

It’s almost time to get your costumes ready! 🎃

Our 4th Annual Harvest Festival is just around the corner, and we’re bringing back one of our favorite traditions: the costume contest! Whether you’re dressing up the kids, gathering your favorite people, or putting your pup in the spotlight, we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

🐾 Pets - 11:30 AM

Prizes will be awarded for Funniest, Most Creative, and Best Overall in each category, with Orlando Shine’s Brendan O’Connor joining us as our host!

It’s Food Waste Prevention Week! 🌱

At 4Roots, we’re working to prevent food waste in ways that go beyond the kitchen. From food access and propagation to composting and education, there are many ways we can give food another purpose.

But preventing food waste isn’t just something we do at 4Roots. There are steps all of us can take at home, too. From being more intentional about what we buy and use to finding new ways to repurpose food, small changes can make a difference.
